View Full Version : whats the best blending brush for realistic portrait?

im working on this painting and i just can't seem to blend correctly. its either uneven or too smooth when i do it. any tips are appreciateed :D

That's like asking what kind of car should a person buy.

How about starting by telling us:

Which Painter version are you using (include patch/update number, if any)?

Which brush category and variant are you using (exact names), and over what brush variant's brushstrokes (again, exact names)?

Are you painting on the Canvas or on a Layer?

What, exactly, is not working (include a demo if possible)?

In the meantime, try using the brush variant you're painting with, to blend, by adjusting the Resat/Resaturation slider lower and the Bleed slider higher than than the Resat/Resaturation slider position. Experiment a little to get the right settings.
