RobertoOrtiz - I really like what you did with.. uh ... that thing... Great Work Keep it up!
(actually huge thanks for this thread, we all owe you kidneys, first born and the like)
Here's mine. When I was little I always loved the warmer weather and longers days of June. More time to play!

Keeping up with the streched canvas to see how much I can do with it (at least it gives me a goal as long as the calendar week runs ^^)
Zyrinx : This part of the year is great for that, that's a fact ^^

So I thought of it being the last day of school (even though it's in May for us), and I know there's probably many things wrong with it that I don't see... if anyone could point those out, that would help.
And I started it being the kid from July (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpost.php?p=3030906&postcount=7), but somehow he turned into a teenager.

June.. this is all i could think of.. June is the month of cancer.. this is the symbol for zodiac cancer.... Hmm.. zodiac would have been a good theme.. but its too late we are half way through the months.
15 min photoshopcs2
Zyrinx Yeah nothing is nicer than a warm summer evening. Summer nights are nice too. Fresh and warm. :D
aelwine Oh I am liking these bookmark idea. This image is really cool, well drawn and I like the idea a lot. Nice work. :D

Thanks everyone for encouraging me on the last sketch! It definitely makes me want to do more. For June, all I could think of is how nice it feels being outside in the warm, summer nights. I had planned to make some people in the foreground, but I got bored with it.
1 Hour in Photoshop.

I couldn't really come up with much for this month, so I just played with some standard brushes in Painter IX until I got this. This took me about 40 minutes.
Nice job on the sketches guys.
nice entries so far...
june is the time of year when the cats go crazy!
PS/wacom about 20min...

Hey all, I had to throw one out for June. The month of my birthday and the best one for streetball. This is my second post so critiques are very welcome. Painter 9, 2 hours.

No summer without a proper water battle!
2 + 1 hours, photoshop
Yaya.. I was to lazy to do a proper background last time.. But its a little better now. =P

Zyrinx- I think you had kind of the same theme as me, how nice those summer evenings are. It really works as far as getting that mood across.
aelwine- The bookmark theme is working well, especially in this one! I like how the stretched canvas emphasizes the depth of water. It's good that you've used the bookmark idea to show something unique
djtrousdale- There's nothing wrong with this at all. It tells the story you want nicely and has a quick, sketchy look, which is the whole idea. You don't need lots of accuracy and tidyness to make a good sketch. If you want it to look more finished, you could straighten some of the lines and clean up the pencil lines with one solid pen stroke, but as for sketching, you did a good job.
InesD- Theres still a few months left if you want to keep with the zodiac theme. Making more of these graphic symbols would be cool.
jullenar- Yeah, most of my time spent in Photoshop is just playing around with brushes like this too. I like it.
daw- This is the funniest one so far, as far as I'm concerned!
Kriffe- Wow, that's a lot of bright green! It's got good action and a good expression on the guy's face. With that background, no one it going to confuse this with a winter month!

InesD - Time moves reeeally slow on the last day, and besides there's also finals...
Kidcanuck - Interesting style, kind of vaguely defined but thats what makes it cool.
GSmiley - Thank you :D

Well, in France, june 21 is the day we celebrate music and I guess a rockstar is a kind of
"Xtra ordinary character" (the theme of my calendar) so here is "the rock band"
2 hours PS/CS
Nice entries especially
Aelwine and art2 :wavey: good job!
hey, that is pretty cool Franck!
