I need to create a scene of animated logo of some company. It should be metalmade (looking like lets say a coin) and be rotating in front of sky background reflecting it.
I use Max7 sp1 and M-ray heres my actions.
after modeling being done I go to mat.editor and press "get material" ,select my sky bitmap and set it to be mapped envir-t (screen).Then I go render->envir-t->set envir map-> choose from mat-l editor and select my map and press instance.
Then I create mental ray material , put metal (lume) shader in surface slot ,put 3dsMax Envir-t
shader in mental ray materials enironment slot, put my sky bitmap in 3dsMaxEnvir-t shader map slot and set it to be envir (spherical or cylindrical) mapped. When I hit render I got my logo reflecting only blue colot but not clouds (???) already tried to increase tiling and turn off tex-re filtering.
