I am designing a webpage in PS and then in Dreamweaver to add text etc
How can I add metadata to my site? I have tried doing it through PS, but it doesn't show up when the exported html pages are viewed in DW. Is it still there? Do I have to enter it again in DW? How come in DW when I add meta, and then add keywords, the meta seems to disappear.
Any help would be appreciated, I'm not an idiot, I'm just trying to learn. Cheers.

You have to use a Html Editor (Dreamweaver or even the Wordpad) to enter the Metatags.

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
<html>
<head>
<title>test</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<meta name="XXX" content="1, 2, 3">
<meta name="keywords" content="1, 2, 3">
<meta name="description" content="bla, bla">
</head>

Thanks for taking the time to help me out. I figured it out in the end, but seeing your post and comparing it to what I had done confirms everything. Thanks!
