Hello everybody. I am the founder of the team Clover Studios to which we make our mods under. I am also the team leader from the Half Life 2 Conversion Over-Run.
Over-Run has been going for about 9 months. It started out with me and soon I picked up some really bad people. Who left. The mod had died down. Soon i deceided to do it again though and I have a pretty good team in my honest opinion. We have coders and modelers and animaters. But we need a player modeler. I have had a few who had to leave due to marrige/ school/ work etc.
At the end of this recruitment post I will show some media for you guys. At the moment we only have a pretty dead forum. We have had many sites but none were of good quality. So we are making new ones. They should be done relativly soon. We are in the process of animating 13 of our 30 planned weapons. We are quite close to an internal alpha. But the beta could be Summer or just before it depending on how hard we work. We have about 15 people working on the mod.
The mod will have 10 playable charecters. Its multiplayer, its going to have over 30 weapons in it. Lots of melle weapons. Some of these weapons include the following.

Pipe Bomb, moltiv cocktail, flamethrower, wooden plank, bricks, HK, Rocket Launcher, Frying Pan, Brass Knuckles, screw driver and a chainsaw!

Postitions that are open at the moment are as follows:

-Player Modeler (Most required)
-Weapon Modeler

Ok now time for some of the features of the mod
- Over 10 playerable charecters including Black, white, asian, men and women all who have there zombie counterparts.
- Vehicles which zombies can grab onto and can only be stopped if the player slams the breaks or crashes into a wall.
- A never before done thing in a HL2 mod. Button Mashing. If a zombie does there grab attack on you the camera goes into 3rd person. Buttons will apear on screen that the human has to press to break free or else it goes into a animation of the zombie killing you in a grotesque way ie Head being ripped off or being tore in two.
- Full gibbing system.
- Over 30 weapons.
- Fun game modes like Co-Op, Save the civilians and the usual survive the zombies mode.

Guys thanks alot for reading this and I hope some of you consider this. I cant pay you guys sadly but if you require me to do something I could help with I can see what I can do like if you want me to put a link on our site to your portfolio site or anything I will gladly do that if you are a good modeler. So thanks for reading. I leave you with contact information and media from our mod. Thanks a bunch for your time guys!

looks like you made some improvement in presentation...still needs a bit of work. may want to rethink your opening background info...stress the positive not the negatives.
Bigger images and having them inline on your post so people see them right away.

We keep seeing new mod ideas come through here almost weekly...and I have a few questions about this type of concept.....How do you plan to make all the weapons you are proposing work? Is your team able to produce flaming liquids and explosion FX with corresponding damage and physics?

Which brings up another nagging wonder about mods... almost every mod shows a bunch of weapons in various stages of completion...but why don't they show a prop in the game engine? I've seen 1 mod in here come close to you guys even know how to get your meshes into the game engine?

Hey Andy,

This is a definite improvement on the last thread. I think it sounds like a good idea too. I am a little pushed for time at the moment or I would help you out.

I hope you get some help for this as you seem pretty keen with it.

Some in game shots would be nice too see, even if they just replaced some of the models in the engine at the moment.

Good Luck

Absolutely...I'd love to see mods doing this!
Shirowproject have an ongoing interest in this and would like to someday see some of our teams assets ported into one of the hi quality game engines like HL2, but I seriously wonder if the average mod team can manage to port a model into the engine and show it in action or even just stiitng in a environment with some nice HDR. Every inter team contact we have had with mod teams (even some of the seemingly advanced ones) always folds as soon as I ask to see some pics of one of their ported models.

Hey thanks for saying I am a great leader!
Also yes we have gotten one of our finished models in the game. The coder sent me an in game screenshot and it looked nice. It was a weapon called the Pic Axe. But it was media worthy as it didnt have our HUD on it or anything.
But still I will update you guys with progress. Is anybody else interested in joining?
