Very cool, and very professional.
The string is very realistic as well.

I couldn't find anywhere else to put verys, so just imagine those two sentences with a few more in them.

It's weird to hear the narrator (announcer?) at the end, cause you hear what he'd sound like were he speaking English.

Very nice animation and concept guys! Congrats!! :buttrock: from me :applause:

Great job! The front page plug was way due now! :buttrock:

Very cool, and very professional.
It's weird to hear the narrator (announcer?) at the end, cause you hear what he'd sound like were he speaking English.

He says "Fashion Rio" in a Portuguese accent, a fashion show here (which ended tonight, BTW).

Next time make sure that things do not go below seen at the very beginning.

Shadows do look quite ugly...

Funny ad...gets ones attention!

Great idea & excellent execution.
Want to elaborate on the wip?

01 January 2006, 10:33 PM
Hi everyone

Thank´s a lot for your coments!

The animation was done with "path-deform" in a veeery long box (to make animation easy)... These box have a "substitute" modifyer do change it in to the line model made with 2 "twisted" cylinders and max's fur applyed and colapsed in to a mesh.
The spline that guides the deformation have +- 20 dummys to control and animate, and a "morpher deformation" to fit it in to the lamp, guys etc shapes. for the secondary animation I put a flex modifyer in the spline and a animated wave modifyer to the final model
To render I used brazil with 2 areal lights, no GI, and brazil's deph field.

I hope you can understand my english

Thank's again

I liked everything except some of the beginning animation where the cylinder actually goes through the geometry, and moves before the thread actually forces it to move away.

Other than that, great work.

Can you elaborate on how you got the thread to look so realistic? I've been trying to discover a technique to do it!
