View Full Version : lightweight combat helicopter.
Hello all. This is my third post. A lightweight combat helicopter. All done in Softimage XSI with subdivision surfaces in one piece ( no merges ), no textures, Final Gathering with HDR image. I will make an animation if I have time. Just want some comments to still improve...I have to take out all this things from my head...
Thank you for your time...:D

really nice designs there, reminds me of airwolf. You might want to add some blur to the blades though, its the only thing that lets the scene down. Really nice work though.:buttrock: :buttrock:
thank you LoneLobo.
You are right wolfy2525, Im working on it...some motion blur will work I think...
Thank you for the comments dudes!

Cool design you got there, and nice material on it. Perhaps you could write a small tutorial how you achieved it?
the only thing i would change about it would be to put some motion blur on those propellers :) it looks like its about to fall down any minute
and i just read someone else just said that, so nevermind! haha
Good work!

in real world design should folow some rules.. for the thing actually fly.. hey.. whatever it looks alot cool!

it looks like there should be alot more weight at the back of the body for balance....other than that ..very nice design. love to see some brighter daylight renders

very cool design! wish i had a copter like that!:D

yeah i agree, rad design, but the back end would need more weight for the design to actually be applicable. Yeah, and primary systems like the engine probably wouldent be exposed, especially if its a combat aircraft. Technically the image is well done though, better than i could do. Ohh, and i like gatling guns, there can never be a shortage of rotating barrels and bullets and ahh run straffing so forth!

looks very cool the helicopter
just a little thingy why not integrate the tail rotor into the tail how its done by the most new helicopters like the rah 66 or the eurocopters (i think also the good old blue thunder had a inner tailrotor) that would be look much more futuristic
and like mentioned before some motion blur would be bring the needed realistic look...
nevertheless really nice work =)
