01-10-2006, 01:13 PM
I really like those subway sketches! They're great :)

But what I like most of all is that warrior on a horse. The lighting and colours are spectacular. The piece just has so much presence. Really nice work!

01-11-2006, 05:35 AM
thanks alot guys~i'm so glad u guys like it:)that horseman piece is still in progress~i have a bad habit in doing my artworks where i started off a new piece when i'm still doing the curent pieces.which left me bunch of unfinished artworks,:scream:here's a piece i did previously~

01-11-2006, 05:38 AM

Great piece! It occurs to me that I don't know anything about your background and/or training...would you mind telling us a bit about yourself? I assume art school, but these days you never know...;)

I would certainly enjoy hearing how you came to be this talented! :)

Cheers, :)

Good morning, Lolo ~ up early this morning, eh? :)

sh@ke ~ spill it. :scream:

01-11-2006, 06:40 AM
ohh ya~haha, should have mentioned this earlier:scream:thanks lemog and rebecca
let me do a proper self introduction

my name is See Zheng Xun aka Michael,23 years old this year, birthday just passed(3rd of jan) :Dfrom malaysia,a small country though.ive developed an interest in art since very young age, could be a genetic issue since my father was an artist himself as well as my brother, and i'm very much being influenced due to this.
i futher pursue my study in a local art college for 3 years (2000 - 2003) The One Academy of communication design and majored in digital animation,
got a job as a 3d animator right after i graduated, dealing with a prominent longform local animated series, spend a year and a half in the respective animation boutique and then came another offer in Twisted media where i'm more focus in tv commercials.thats pretty much bout me:)though i came out as a 3d artist,i'm still a fond exponent of digital arts and illustrations, spend most of my time doing painting after working long hours in office~

01-11-2006, 06:43 AM

Hey, thanks for that! You know, I am not familiar with your 3D works ~ do you post those here? :)

It's nice to hear about your background. :) With an artistic family, it's no surprise you're so talented! :)

01-11-2006, 06:46 AM
Now, we know you better mate, thanks... of course... it's always very interesting to discover more of your art and your realizations... I'm very curious too :) you don't have personal website ?

01-11-2006, 06:49 AM
Good morning, Lolo ~ up early this morning, eh? :)

01-11-2006, 06:52 AM

01-11-2006, 06:54 AM

lemog,i'm sorry to hear this~better get some rest before u get bck to ur work~

01-11-2006, 06:59 AM
Such a shame, NDA's, no? Good thing you do 2D art for yourself, or we'd never know of your work. :)

01-11-2006, 07:14 AM
haha,whats NDA's?sory for my english proficiency~i'm a chinese~:scream:

01-11-2006, 07:17 AM
No prob! :scream: NDA = Non Disclosure Agreement ~ basically a contract saying you can't show your work work to anyone. I'm under NDA, lots of people are.

01-11-2006, 08:14 AM
AAhhhh...great to see Rebeccak and Lemog here.....(lolo?)

Nice to know you Micheal....we are in a same town but we've never see each other...Think we can revive our sketch group Micheal? I vote u to be the head...hehehhe

Those are great sketch man...i envy u. I find it hard to kick my own lazy butt and get my wacom pen dancing....Even if i could....i dont think i can do any good with it...LOL....

Ive told you before how sexy your oriental girls look, havent i? Keep it up man.

01-11-2006, 08:27 AM
Yep... lolo it's me... and nice to see you too here mate... our friend Michael really have great skill... it's an honor for me to follow his work... and I know why I appreciate much his sketches... certainly because he done pieces I can't do... skills I don't have... I'm not jealous, just attentive... :)

01-11-2006, 06:35 PM
Wow.. gorgeous work michael! I think it shows that you're proficient in 3D stuff too, just in the way you seem to construct bodies and masses in general. I love your feminine faces, they're soft but strong, with just a tiny hint of high quality manga about them. I've loved the colour pieces you do, but that horseman picture is beyond believable, I'd certain add my own hand to the many already clamouring to see a tutorial from you. Particularly on how you handle light and colour. Gorgeous.

01-12-2006, 11:48 AM
thanks alot maranello,lolo:scream: and sam:)
i spend most of my time doing 3d since its my day job souly for the company~i have only been doing paintings after work when i got home, that'll be only a few hours for me to do so~

01-13-2006, 01:33 AM
