hello guys this is my first robo, main character from the movie robots. i really loved the movie.
here are the pics
it is currently 7000 plus polys with which i am really unhappy and i will optimize the mesh before i start the tex part.

Looks pretty spot on, good job. You also see to know where to go, I can only wait to see more progress. Have you considered upping the detail a bit, then building a low for a normal map? Could be a good route with the character. Robots and metal, shiney stuff looks great with normal/spec maps.

holy crap tht looks amazing!
but something looks off about the face to me. is it maybee too wide? I think it is.
but it still looks amazing

thanx a lot guys. i will start tex after i finish optimizing the mesh. yup now i also noticed that the face is lill wide.

Looks like his hand is a little wierd, like there is a bump or something. I dont know if its supposed to be like that but figured i would say anyway. Rest of the m0del looks real snazzy :applause: Great job!

yup now i also spoted the bump in his hand. thanks a lot. i checked the hands and the width of his face.check it out.
here is thr wirefraim. looooaaaaadddss of wasted polys here i know:D . but the reason for this is that i was not planning to make it as a game model , i was just practicing robots modeling. after that i decided to make it as a game character. i will try to reduce the poly count to atleast 3500 range while mainting the proper shape of this poor guy. which i think will be quiet easy as there are really many wasted polys.at present it is 7000 plus polys(wasted polys)

Hmm those hands still look messed up...I would say start over on the palm, or at least rework the palm. Is the hand supposed to be fairly close to a human palm? If it is then rework it to the curves I would say. But once again other than the hand it looks topnotch!

The jaw is pretty wrong I think, I am going to check my art book later tonight and see if i can pinpoint the problem. legs look nice though!
