View Full Version : How to lay down Prespective guidelines in PS with Pen?

12 December 2005, 08:02 AM
Hey guys

I saw Scott Robertson's tutorial video. In it, he was laying down a prespective grid in photoshop using the Pen tool. He did the guideline in the Path channel and then use the pen tool to click out the individual lines. Afterward, he used the ruler to set a defined vanishing point and then dragged the vertices of each line towards it.

Here is my problem...

When I try the same thing, the lines I get from the pen tool all connect together. I cannot get seperate, individual lines. Ontop of the that, the lines are not adjustable (can't move one vertice, the whole line moves).

I have tried different settings of the pen tool at the tool box ontop in PS:CS.

Can someone help me out?

Haven't seen that dvd but instead of using the pen tool to select try using the direct selection tool (not path selection tool) - which can be found on the swatch above the pen tool
