One that isnt too costly but is reliable.

Just got a wacom intuos 9x12. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT. Nuff said

... hm yeah sure wacom is the best ...

... but !!! also the most expensive on, so if your not sure how good you are in digital painting and you only wanna try it first, than i would recomend a "Genius" grafic table i use one for years now and im really happy with it. I also would use Wacom probably if i would have the money to buy one :lol:. But im just a student and so im happy with my 30 bucks Genius ... ;) and honestly i doubt that my artworks would look any better with a wacom only creating them would be maybe a bit more comfortable :)

when buying wacom:

dont waster money on packages with added software (painter etc).

Also the small, consumer tablets are fine. larger one just take up desk real estate and the added levels of pressure sensitivity just are not necessary.
