View Full Version : Pre-Pro of Cartoon Character

This is the Pre-Pro that I have put together for a character, which will be modeled by a collegue. I will then animate it and composite it into a scene. I am working on a monkey to go alongside him, keeping the same style.

I would love to hear any comments on the style that I have chosen or anything else.

The mouth will not be modeled into the face, rather it will be a simple animated texture. I have been trying to come up with a method to do that, and I will attempt to create something similar to what David La Sala showed in his recent TD reel with his dancing and singing musical notation characters.

I have tried to keep as close to the base human proportions as I could, to allow for a greater range of motion that will closer relate to human norms.

I have worked on the eye shapes that I will be useing, while there may be additions, I feel that this is about where I stand for a good range of emotions.
With this as the texture effect for the eyes, matched up with a mouth shape that I have started but not finished all the variants for, I think that I will have a verry styleized, but emotive, and interesting character to animate with.

I would love any opinions on this that anyone has.

Thanks in advance.

I hate having to do this, but the edit that I just did didnt bring it up as to the date altered.

I have noticed that the images that I had included were on a site that didnt like external linking, so I have moved them onto one that does.

As there were no actual images for which to look at, I can understand the lack of any comments, now that there are some images to look at, I would hope people would give me some feedback.
