"The story is set in Sweden, during the disordered age of an early 9th century. Viking raids are widespread; tales of rich bounties and effortless raids continue to attract ever more Viking Jarls to test their fortune in the new lands of the east and west...
He sets sail for the English isles accompanied by three Gokstad longships, determined to capture monasteries. During strange circumstances Erik and his son Björn are ambushed by other Vikings.
Whilst The Jarl is taken hostage, his son Björn is wounded and left alone on the beach.

Back home Björn´s twin sister Astrid awaits the return of her brother and father. She is greatly concerned for her brother’s safety as it is Björn´s first time on a Viking raid.
When the boats returns without them she feels immediate suspicion. She does not believe in the story of an ambush by English monks during the attack.

Astrid decides to investigate the disappearance and vows to find her brother...

A fantastic adventure that takes place during the early 9th century in Nothern Europe unravels. All characters, cities and Viking lords are authentic.

The Viking world is meticulously recreated with all up to date reference material documented or exhibited in Scandinavian museums."

Great, now I know about two Swedish companies that try to make a feature CG-movie. This one you mentioned and . I hope one of them will succeed. That'll be the first feature CG-movie produced in Sweden.

Ah, yes, I read about that one too a few years ago in a Swedish magazine. I thought it was put out of production or something since I've never heard about it since. Good to know it wasn't. :applause:

Anyway, I have big hopes for Astrid Silverlock. I don't know why so few people reply. Maybe people just think this is an isolated Swedish thing? But it includes people from many parts of the world. One character designer is situated in Poland and another in Britain (one guy who has also previously worked on the Harry Potter movies). It will be released worldwide, and not just in Sweden. Maybe I should have made that clear. And that I have no part in this project, so I'm not just doing some kind of marketing:D .

I think it's gonna be great. Just wish the character designs wheren't that plain and generic, but it may fit the story and setting.

yop it look cool, although the forest looks too realistic IMO (i'd like it stylisise more) , really too early I think to have a judgement, wait and see.

cheers and good luck to the team
