the skull site i saw in a tread here inspired me to make a lowpoly human skeleton
actually its about 800 polys and 1 256 texture wich is about half used

Im sure you can do something about those hands, they are flat completely. And with the area that you dont use for the texture, might as well add some more detail to the bones, they really dont look so great...

But not bad, really.

Why so low poly? What year is this?

good start, minus a few anatomical issues. How accurate do you want to make it? The thing that bothers me the most are the way the ribs are done, very cartoony versus the head which looks like a great, realistic start (my favorite part). I recently did a skeleton just like this for a game, only at 900 tris, which has fairly spot on anatomy. I could show you for reference if you're interested.

Hey Orko don't be so polyhungry. Lowpoly diets can be fun and educational. Some of the best lowpoly skeletons (and dragons, and other such things) can be seen in Vagrant Story for the psx. Check it out if you can. Lookin good so far. As for the hands, I think they will work just fine with the right texture. Overall, he could probably spare some polys, because even at 800 he is still not quite lowpoly enough for me. :D From the looks of things he could spare some in his feet and the bones of his legs. The ones in Vagrant Story are (I'm guessing) made up of between 100-300 polys but with the texture, look great.

as you can see all the bones arent skinned yet
but ill skinn them maybe today

btw this thing is for an egybtic block mover game to show which pards are dangerous or yust for decoration i think i will make a mummie too wich not much different from the skeleton

This is a very small minded thing to say. I don't want to sound mean...and this will actually make me sound like a nerd, but I'm kinda offended by that statement...My love for low poly i suppose.

Awesome work. I really dig him, keep it up.

here is the first "pose"

oh no he is dead!

the main thing to fix would be adding some dimension to the hands.

I like the skeleton's model. I wish I had the patience to work on a super-low-poly creature sometime. In any game, the skeletons are a staple and if done well they are priceless.

I Totally second the mention of Vagrant Story on Psx. The sheer number of low-poly baddies is truly breathtaking. They are all filthy, moldering, and stylized masterpieces of game art. Highly reccommended reference.
