I enlarged the sketch to a working resolution of 4800x3000 and have started to paint over it, sharpening up and refining the forms...

wonder why noone replies? Because we can't see anything! At least I get an "access denied" thumbnail followd by a red X

Strange, they're showing up just fine for me.

I already have an image hosting service, I know how to use it and it usually works fine.

edit: I tried reinserting the images just in case

hmm 'tis strange - i can see it now. Whatever that reinserting did - it works now:shrug:

glad that I can see something now.

I think it' starting to look great. And I do thank you for the personal background you provided. I hope that this series will come out great and painting them will help you on your way.

Technical things:

as one piece of the series I would love to see something which makes use of a low point of view (near to the ground, that is) so the viewer can easily identify with the kid you once were and the view you had back then.

Is that figure on the right side your father?
