I made this in photoshop. The program's not realy my shtick but I gave it a try. Sketcked with pencil/paper. I know anime can get a bit old but for a first it's farely strait foreward as far as content. Any comments/crits very very welcome. Thanx

Hey Jake, can you link the dA page instead? dA doesnt let you link the image by itself.

definetly anatomy problems...you should probably avoid drawing "anime eyes" and outlining everything

i like the way u did your hair and clothes...the shirt looks stylistic

the forehead looks too large, the eyes look upside down, lips and nose too far down, arms r too small, and the knees, legs, feet need work

I like how you colour (try maybe changing the hue a tiny bit for shadows and highlights). To make your heads look better you might want to learn how to draw realistic head structures first (there is a pretty short tutorial here (http://www.gfxartist.com/features/tutorials) which is very straightforward). It might look a bit tedious especially if you are wanting to just draw anime-styled artworks but studying realistic anatomy really does help you figure out your own style. Good luck, and keep drawing!

Thanx guys. I'll try some of your ideas. The tutorial will be helpfull and no I definately don't want to get into the rut where anime is all i can do.
