I was wondering if anyone could direct me to some tutorials for creating UV maps in Photoshop. I know how to Export from 3ds and into photoshop. I just need some Tutorials on how to add the details onto a already made texture. Oh and sorry if this is the wrong place

Making a UV map is no different from painting anything else in Photoshop. You just need to have a good UV layout so things don't look pixellated, and you have to be aware of seams in the model where the texture might not match up. If you're trying to paint something specific, like metal, search for a metal tutorial on the Internet. There's no specific way to do UV maps different from other stuff.

the most important thing is that you export a good uv map from your 3d application so that you can easily paint on it in photoshop
