Pipe your ctrl_shading through a passthrough shader, e.g. connect the compound output of the ctrl_shading to the outColor of a maya surfaceShader. Assign this surfaceShader to your objects, be sure the ctrl_shading is not connected to the SG's mr material slot.

Maya does not like the struct output of ctrl_shading (the different output 'slots') and quits silently.

@floze: Thanks alot for quick reply, It work now
This is for s.o that still not use it :)
I got somes question:
1. So, what ctr_shading do? Because It need a shader to plug to, so It seem a utility more than a shader..this is my test , the ctrl_shading is applied to the sphere
ctrl_shading with lambert
ctrl_shading with phong
and as floze said, I use a surface shader
I really do not understand what ctrl_shading can do? What is it strong point? When and why we use it....:)
Hope s.o could help me :)
