plan to make a character model based on the actor who plays Caesar in bbc 2's series, ROME.

set myself a limit of 5000 triangles max for the whole character. so far ive modelled the head. the head will be fully animated with eye and mouth movement. i have tried to capture the arrogant look of the guy and the overall feel of authority. im still working on little features like his uneven eyes, his slightly to one side nose and his downturned mouth, all of which should make him have more personality.

modified the head working on the flow lines and in particular the mouth. not sure how to texture this as the reference photos i am working from are too small to use as a texture map.

Hi mate. This guy has a very uneven face. If your happy witht the basic structure, it might be worth welding the two halfs together and adding some of these irregularities. Are you planning to normal map? If so wacka 'turbosmooth' on him and see what happens. I kinda prefer turbo to meshsmooth as it behaves better with smoothing groups.He also has a wider jaw bone than your model. Some of the edges in the hair/ forehead are too straight and i think the neck could do with some attention. Other wise looking good. What is you total body poly count going to be? And he still looks a little like that mummy guy.
