My setup is a head with Misss_fast _skin applied, the lighting is a HDRI image in the IBL node. Im rendering with final Gather of about 1000 rays. The render is posted and im not satisfied at all. I worked out that ambient occlusion seems to be missing from the render, such as in the nose, in the mouth and especially the ears. When i turn off the HDRI image and use a plane texture with no lights on a lambert shader i get a nice occlusion. Why am i not getting these nice soft shadows when using my hdri? Do i have to composite it? If so can someone give me an explanation..
