View Full Version : render problem-jagged renders

I dont know when this started, but I just realized that all my renders come out jagged.
I rendered it on production quality-same results.
Maxed out the tessellation-still no change.
I am using maya 7 on a G5 dual 1.8, radeon 9600xt video card.
I didnt always have this problem, so I doubt it is a hardware issue.
Please help me.

That's just a bug in the render view, try paning/zooming around and you'll
see that the problem dissaperes, save out the file and look
at it in your fav programme: No jagginess

I realized that your right, but is there a way to fix that?
Everything I render ends up that way. Even previous projects reder jagged now.

there should be a 1:1 button somewhere in the renderview which makes the image 'actual size' on screen.

Thanks akewt, but the render is already sized at 1:1.
I already read all the other posts, this is an unusual situation.
Any other ideas?

Is there a way I can melscript my render window to always render at 1.001 ?
it becomes clear once i zoom in or our a tiny bit.

i had this problem too long time ago... and other machines running differnt specs with same maya were fine. I do believe it came down to the display adaptor, or more so ATI drivers. i personally wouldn't bother too much about it as the image itself is fine and doesnt really affect your final output in anyway :)
