View Full Version : Messiah / Cinema plugin problem

Hi everyone.

I'm very messiah beginner :)

I have little problem with save/writing file in messiah if working in
plugin mode. I have 9.1 Cinema and studio 2.0 Mesiah.
I create character or something in cinema, start up plug-in messiah,
everything there is o.k. I adds bones , animate my model and fun,
After then I save the model with animation in cinema and restart
both programs.

And now is problem. When I open again my model in cinema and start the
messiah plugin, I do not see models in cinema (only cinema messiah tags )
, only animated skeleton in messiah. When I delete the messiah tags in
cinema then I see my model fine it's without animation..hmm

any suggestion ?

That is a known issue int the messiah/C4D connection. Just delete the messiah:deform object and the tag and reapply them and it should work fine, though it is rather unconvenient that this has to be done every time you startup C4D.

I personally never use the direct messiah connection for transferring the animation. I prefer to bake out the animation to a MDD file with Mark Wilson's PointOven plug-in at ( . There is also a free demo version tht will do the trick. Then in C4D, you can use the MDD Reader plug-in from my website ( to read the file.
