View Full Version : Uzumaki Naruto

I'm not sure if Naruto is hated or enjoyed around here, but it's one of my favorate series. I don't really watch anime or read manga, save this one. A friend in college got me into it about three years ago, and I've been following it ever since.
I decided to do a little send up, and at the same time make my wish for a Naruto PSP game seem feasible. I'm hopefully gonna hit most of the characters, but I'm not sure yet.
This is still heavily a work in progress.

hey.. its quite a nice one.. although its still in its infancy stage..
the textures are quite nicely done; model itself is not bad too..
just some suggestions: the fingers can be bigger, it seemed to be out of proportion from the body; the hair can be longer..
keep it up!

*still having trouble mentally reconciling poop and naruto o___o
I'd hafta agree the hands are looking slightly skeletal due to the shading and poly use, hard to know what to suggest since this is PSP level tri use and very tidy tricount atm, and fingers really eat polys. Hrm, stumped.
Seconded the "hogan" crit ya got @ polycount forum haha, that makes for some interesting imagery o_o Still, looking neato. Any chance at a zoomed out, textured render? I always like to try and picture how the thing will look at closer to the viewsize it'll end up, though I like to see what's going on nice and close first :D I'm thinking it should look pretty nice. Oh yeah while I remember, the few "out of line" shade pixels in the legband look a bit odd to me, but you might have something planned for that..

I'm wondering if you're going for a faithfull representation or if you're giving your own twist on it. Because if you're going for a faithfull representation then the proportions seem a little of.
And the crumpling of the cloth on the one leg looks a bit weird... would't the cloth crumble above the band and not below it? Otherwise he has some wierd growth going on with his leg :). And I'll agree to what has been said mostly already on other forums. ;)
Anyways, looking forward to a finished version.

I love holidays, they really let you get your work done. Here we go, got this bugger all wrapped up. I'm pretty happy how he came out.

Nice modelling. Only thing bugging me is the level of realism in his face , I think his lips are too big and his face just a bit too slim. His eyes don't fit in with the realism of the rest. Body is perfect though. GJ
