Yeah this is like my first painting. Its of well paper on fire, i did the same pic in chalk pastel and it came out really good so i thought that i would try it in photoshop. So i dont really know what to do at this point in the painting. So c&c please.

From 1st glance it looks a bit blurry. Try using a harder edged brush. Looks promising though. Keep it up. :thumbsup:

I like the pastel one. I think the value range in the computer-drawn one is a bit limited: like, the orange of the flames is a lot darker in the original pastel, and so is the grey in the background. The colours you used in the first I think are also a lot more saturated than what it looks like in the pastels; you could try pushing them more towards grey tones. Keep posting~!
