View Full Version : Ramp texture noise problems

Well i'm sure this has been asked many times before but i can't seem to find any threads. Basically i want a ramp to go from black to white with noise on the greys inbetween but without having the top and bottom of the ramp messed up (i'm sure you know what i mean). Thanx

You can chop off the bottom and the top by using the repeat and offset parameters in the place2dTexture node. For example on a v-ramp you could try setting v-repeat to 0.8 and v-offset to 0.1

Hmm interesting idea, i'll give it a try. I did just get this attached screenshot from Highend forums which gives a really nice solution (the first ramp goes black-grey-black, adjust the grey to adjust the noise intensity). Thanx for the reply
