View Full Version : 2-sided bump-map?

I'm working on an egg-like object I'd like two give an different interior and exterior texture to. I know how to map the color channel to a conditional (connected to normal direction), but I can't do the same with the bump map. Is there a way to do this without using a MEL script (which I wouldn't have a clue how to write).

well, bump is a normal based so you can do that by using the attr reserve normals in sampler info which will reserve the normals of ur object OR using normal constrain and switch ur normals based on cameras (which i never used before)

hope that helps...

mib_twosided has a "built-in" normal switch....all you need to do is to create your 2 shading networks and plug them into corresponding Front/Back slots....

Good luck
