I'm trying to make a dvd with all my animations on it (i.e. demo reel) and i'm not sure how to convert my animations to dvd format. Please help!

You should render your animations as sequences of images, bring them into a composition program render them as avi uncompressed. After that you shoud use a DVD authoring tool to create your DVD.

Hope that helps.

The best way to avoid headaches is to ask for help from someone who does those things - that is, if you want them to run in a DVD player. The DVD software have their own tricks - at least I gew impatient in zero time.

Of course, if you have spare time then it's different. Probably best to go for some good software right from the start.

The technique I uses in the past was to simply render as a tga sequence, import into premiere which can convert to DVD format, and burn directly out of premiere.

This doesn't give any menus or anything, just plays the footage as soon as you put in the DVD.

Alternatively, you can render your edited reel out of Premiere in an mpeg-2 format and drop it into encore where menus are relatively easy to construct ...

Thank you all very much for your replies. I rendered as an AVI sequence and loaded it successfully in NERO. Thanks again.
