View Full Version : extending the render region when the camera is set.

i was wondering if there was a way to extend the render region while keeping the objects in view the same size? sorta like extending your canvas size in photoshop. the object stays the same size, but the canvas is bigger that's all. is there a way to do this in maya?

here's my scenerio. i have an object that is breaking the frame of reference of the current render region. the camera is set to where i need it to be. is there a way to render the object so that it doesn't break the frame of reference. if i change the width and height, the region changes, however, the object renders a lot bigger as well. not what i want.

any help on this would be very much appretiated. thanks.
