View Full Version : Comic-Style Resident Evil-esque Babe with Massive Blade

11 November 2005, 09:18 AM
Her Name is Dawn Herrara. She's been left to fend for herself in an apocolypic wasteland filled with Zombies. She broke her nails. She ripped her stockings, she ripped her computer store uniform - that's coming out of her paycheck.

Now it's time for revenge.

This was my entry for the Sexy Babe with a Massive Weapon comp over at CGChat. Hope you like it!

Wires here, (

My concepts here (,

High res versions; ONE (, TWO (, THREE (, and FOUR (

I'm thinking about revisiting her later, maybe adding a bit here and there, so C&C are, as always, welcome!

Im loving the idea with the stop sign at the end of the weapon!
super original :D

and then of course, the overall killer style of it. but the stop sign was the part that I havent seen before, really sticks out and lifts this piece a bit :)

very cool character, i think the bump map ruins a bit as it makes areas like the ear and hands too messy/busy. great texture. I love the legs!!

yeah get rid of the bump map. she's way cooler without it. I'm sure her and Bruce Campbell will be very happy together. Sniff I love weddings. ;)

Nice character. The big eyes make her very odd. In a good way tho.

keep it up.

thats a normal map aint it. probably not a good idea to get rid. could need sorting tHAT EAR, UNLESS YOU BLOODY IT UP AND SAY A ZOMBIE DID IT. whoops cap lock off

THe style and texture to this whole character is wicked. Love it :)

lookin pretty good man, few problems that are buggin me, mainly the fact that the weapon has photoreal textures, and she is painted, might wanna keep with the same style, or make it very present that there is a mixture of styles. also the skin esp face could use more painted skin tones. sholders also seem a bit over powering more manly than sexy babe.
keep rockin, this could be a really solid piece.

The Character looks great, can we see some wires? Me and my co-worker think that all female characters should show their panties! Keep up the good work.

Love the style, texturing is awesome. She's like the female version of the dude from Shawn of the Dead (so much so, in fact, that I'm betting he played some part in the reference). the alpha on the front of her hair might be the only thing I can crit, because she's truly well-done.:applause: Can you post the texture maps?

Wow...super cool...I dig it...

I know its a game model and the everage kid wouldn't notice it but have you ever stood right next to a stop sign? Road signs are much larger than they appear to be. In actuality, the stop sign you have should be double its size. Unless you say its one of those school cross walk stopsigns held by grade school road patrol or a stopsign on the rear of some buses then you can get away with it/:)

Hey Dargon. Kick ass work!!! I saw this over at CGChat a week back.... when the results in?

You pulled it off m8, well done

Wholy crap, thats a kick ass chick. I have to say that the weapon with the stop sign is way better then the one that looks like a huge ore (unless she's clubbing seals). The heals of the shoes seem to be a bit flat and perhaps could use some polys. Becides that the modeling and texturing are first rate. I love the way you have posed her. You should be very proud of yourself.

Very nice, definitely has to be one of the most creative uses for a stop sign I've seen.

Something about the face doesn't seem quite right to me, not sure exactly what it is though (sorry!).

No offense, but I don't think it's Resident Evil-like....AT ALL. But great work nevertheless.

Thanks for the responses everybody!

@DeadBoy - Thanks! For the texture flats, check out my submission page at CGCHAT (

@Mindrot - Cheers! Don't know when they'll post the results, as far as I would figure, they're overdue...

@pimeto - 3500 tris, including the weapon, 1024X1024 for the textures, there is a diffuse, spec and normal.

@Norman McCay - If you're trying not to offend, try not capitalizing the words "at all". In my opinion, there is a cartoony resident evil vibe, and why you disagree is a mystery, but whatever.
