View Full Version : What fov you use?

Was wondering what fov you all use for modelling. Do you use the same fov for moddeling as the camera has in the final rendering? or do you use a fov that has the least perspective distortion possible (very small fov or isometric even).
Noticed a large difference while moddeling a head yesterday between my perspective and front viewport. Made me wondering what was the best way to go.

use front, right and perspective to build your heads.
also check out this Lightwave tutorial if you think it might help.
I usually play around with my fov a bit during modelling, but I do try to keep it as distortion free as possible. I know what you mean though, I was working on a char one day and was thinking god his head looks like a friggin egg! then I looked in the front view and it looked fine.
