View Full Version : Rendering Normal Maps in Mental Ray

Is there a way to render normal maps in Mental Ray, I have a low poly model with a great Normal map, I downloades a couple of shaders and scripts form Highend3d, and they work great but only on the Maya renderer, If y use it in mental Ray it doesnt work. Any clues?

That is what I've been trying to find all day, but no luck yet. I'd appreciate it if someone has found one.

yeah ... i remember earlier in the year using this node to run some tests of my own in how normal mapping can also be aaplied to produce high quality results fro non realtime work..

I made this up out of my findings...
