View Full Version : W.I.P Bootz Low Poly

Hi so here goes my first attempt at a Low Poly in game model i've been thinking about doing something like a games character for a while now and this Char just wont get out of my sketchbook always turning up when doodling so i've decided to turn him into a low poly model akin to the ones i admire in this forum.

Target Tri count is 4000 please advise if this is too high/low.

Textures will be stylised but will see how it goes when i get to it.

He will eventually be animated for my showreel showing cyclical animations.

I love the concept sketch, it is an awesome idea.

i am looking forward to the rest of the body and textures, but it is dynamite so far!!

I feel the model is going well but I've hit a stumbling block was wondering if anyone could advise.

My original intention was toi create a Low Poly Model with just 4000 tri's but I feel i would have a better looking model with 4500 would this be acceptable for a low poly model ???

What i'm trying to achieve is a low poly model that you would use for PS2/X Box but without normal maps.

Could someone help/answer and put me out of my state of confusion ?? :)

Here is todays update really getting a feel for this character now :) cant wait to animate him.

Added: Daggers are now to be built into gloves. Want to add shoulder pads and a big axe/dagger.

Current tri count 1968 :)

so i fell this model is finished just thought i'd post an update.

Tri count is 3756

Going to work on weapon next then start unwrapping :)
