View Full Version : HighPoly: Cartoony Face

Hi everyone! I'm modeling a head based on my own concept I whipped up (super fast) in photoshop. I threw on my "modeling cap" since who knows how long - nonetheless, I am pretty sketchy. Currently I'm working out a problem on the side of his mouth where I keep getting a vert connected by 5 edges. Also I'll have to start the ears. I took the "start from the eyes and work down the nose" method which seemed easier then the usual sub dividing a cube method...
3dsmax8, poly count 848, 416 tri's

It's rough at the moment but I really want to get the edge loops down first before I go detail crazy! If you notice any problem areas or just have any comments feel free to rip this apart!

thats so wierd, im modeling a character now from a drawing i did, and my head looked almost exactly like urs, but was more sqaure, so i junked it, but your looks much better.
