View Full Version : mirror in maya

I have completed a low poly model of a car and I can't quite get it mirrored on the other side to complete the car. What settings are best for the duplicate? Im pretty new at this stuff so any help I would def appreciate.

1. Select your car
2. Go into the duplicate options
3. Scale it in the relative axis by -1

If your pivot point is in the center of your object, hit insert to get to pivot point mode, snap it to a verticy along the border of your car, hit insert again to get out of pivot point mode, and do the above steps.
