Hello, I'm trying to crack an egg realistically in modeller (LW7.x) so that I have two workable halves, or there abouts.

Any suggestions?

That's a tricky one. Is the inside of the egg solid or is it just a shell?

I'd half a sphere and make the edges jaggy. There's various ways to do this but you would possibly get the most accurate results from Boolean operations as you need to retain the shape of the original.
You can then copy the jagged points to another layer and use extender to form new geometry up and in to create the top 'half'. It will fit the bottom perfectly but this method may not suit your purposes.
