View Full Version : Geometry Dilemma!

I am having a tough time trying to get rid of this underlying geometry in this model of an orchid. I modeled the petals as polys, and extruded them slighty so the petals are not paper thin. But when I render it the other side seems to cast shadows inside the shell? How can I fix this, I've tried changing the DMAP resolution and Filter with little difference in results ;[

most likely this is a case of dmap bias, so try increasing the bias from default 0.001 to something like 0.005 or 0.01
