View Full Version : opacityPP has 2 values - why?

I'm trying to figure out some mel just trying this and that with particle attributes and I don't understand why querying opacityPP returns 2 values -

getParticleAttr -at opacityPP[1];
// Result: 0.0888949 0 //

does anyone know why and what the 2nd value is?

From the help:This will return the average velocity for the entire particle object as well as the maximum offset from the average. I guess its the same for opacityPP.Just cast it in a float array and get the first value out:float $opacity[] = `getParticleAttr -at opacityPP[0]`;
print $opacity[0];
