I want to make a video tutorial but I am not sure how to set up my computer so that it records what I do in max. Just trying to make a tutorial that can help the community out.

You can download a 30 day fully-functional trial of Camtasia Studio 3.0, which is 'very' easy to use:
www.techsmith.com/products/studio/default.asp (http://www.techsmith.com/products/studio/default.asp)

Check out my first video tut (no audio though) I created with Camtasia Studi:
www.3dnuts.com/tutorials/modeling_tire.shtml (http://www.3dnuts.com/tutorials/modeling_tire.shtml)

An alternative is Wink from www.debugmode.com/wink/ (http://www.debugmode.com/wink/), which is free, doesn't support audio.

I hope this helps!
