09-17-2005, 07:48 AM (

Hi, a litle late to enter the contest, but... beter later than ever.

So here is my entry, this is the first conceptual sketch, is about some kind of national guard

of a third world country, that like to torture and hunt miserable and homeles people`s, kidnapping

his childrens and seeking for his woman`s.

This image represent one of dose moment`s of cruelty, and I find this theme awfully Spectacular...

My respects to Peter Paul Rubens and his monumental work`s, but that is what I aiming for...

Sorry for my Inglish.

Good Luck to all my brother`s and sister`s in this contest...

y try to finish the horse model in 4 days ...o more:)

09-17-2005, 09:06 AM
try making chest bigger - this will add a nice curve to the lower part of the body and make the horse look more stronger (compare, for example, to this picture (

Great horse you have there. I have always wondered that making a horse in 3D is way too hard to try. But you don't seem to wonder that too much

09-17-2005, 09:58 AM
Uiron: thanks for the comments and the picture, but you see the new wip of the horse? I think is better that the model of that picture, what do you think? Good Luck with your entry!!

Dreamlord:Thanks man!, yeah make a horse in 3d is veeerry dificult if you don`t now how to draw horse and now the antomy of the horse an others animal, but with a little efort everything is posible.

c-you soon.

Now you can start adding some muscle detail. I think the back leg is bent too much and to long.

Good start!

09-17-2005, 04:30 PM
You're off to a flying start here! Nice horse and the scene looks like it will have lots of action! good luck and have fun

09-17-2005, 05:41 PM
Nice start with your horse! So you like Rubens? You know his "The Consequences of War" - also a really spectacular picture. I'm curious to watch your progress. Good luck!

09-19-2005, 05:55 PM
Hi, I really like the style of your horse, keep the good work.

09-19-2005, 06:48 PM
I was a little concerned with the horse model up until now, it is turning out very nicely. Horses are often very difficult to do, and yours is turning out very well.

I am curious how you intend to do the main and tail?

09-19-2005, 09:30 PM
banzato: thanks for the comments, and for the style still miss a couple of modelling is no perfect yet.

HammaJamma: thanks man, yes horse are very dificult and this is the first that i make.
And for the tail and main I goin to poly planes with alpha textures.

That`s all for now

Good Luck

09-19-2005, 09:39 PM

09-20-2005, 06:48 AM (

C&Q are welcome

09-20-2005, 06:59 AM (

and another one

critics someone?

09-20-2005, 07:22 AM
your work is excellent;
if i may, i've worked with horses, and this one looks great, the only adjustments i might do would be to define the base if the ear, they usually pull in around the base to form a cup, kinda like on a cat if u run your finger around the base of the ear there is a definable dip there, from front to back not just in the middle.
keep up the good work.

09-20-2005, 08:33 AM
hi zhay13
if thats not a perfect horse head model then i dont know what is! the texturing is cool!

09-20-2005, 08:37 AM
Fantastic model dude!
I wish you best luck and continue your good work:)
Waiting for more news:eek:

09-20-2005, 01:45 PM
Great modeling!

09-20-2005, 02:04 PM
so noce texture and also great displace ment map . plz tell , will U use any fur on it ?

09-20-2005, 02:23 PM
Really nice modelling and a great shader. I'm not sure if I like his smile though - it seems to detract from an otherwise very high level of realism...

Good work

09-20-2005, 04:28 PM
Impressive! Great modelling-texturing!

Good luck.

09-20-2005, 06:04 PM

MrMicro26:thanks man I glad you like.

yrd4snd: thanks for you critics, the model is almost finished stil miss some touchs like the ear that you pointed, and the mouth ,the eyes, and some modificatios over the lower part of the neck and some muscle structure in legs, the problem is that I have to many polys like almost 20.000 and tweaking with that amount of vertices is very hard, thanks god that Blender can handle many polys without a problem yet.

yunisirees: thanks, but nobody is perfect, only almost perfect....
funkyboss: glad you like, good luck too you to, and more news soon..:)

Ramtin_moom: thanks for your comments.

will U use any fur on it ? : nope, i use Blender 3d to do this work so till now don`t have any plugin to make fur,the only fur that I gonna put in is the tail and the crin with alpha texture`s map`s.

And the model don`t have a displacement map, only the color map and the bump map.

if y put many tihings in this horse my machine gonna explode  because i have to render 4 of this horses plus 20 characters plus background and scenery, so...:scream:

Swamps: is smiling :) , jaja but in the end this horse gonna srceeaaaammmˇˇˇˇˇˇ:twisted:

suk-grigorij:thanks, luck is what more i need now.. and patience... and some sleep

09-20-2005, 07:00 PM

the horse model is really great, nice modelling!! good luck

my spectacular (

09-21-2005, 02:32 AM
Very nice model of the horse. If anything, I would say that the hind rump is a bit skinny, something feels a bit off there. Also, I would darken the blacks in the picture that you used to project onto the horse. But looking good!

09-21-2005, 07:41 AM (

finally some new ornaments for the head and beginnig to thest... HAIR

Head close-up

Beatiful job with the detail work.

09-22-2005, 07:55 AM (

I let the horse alone for a while, and start with the baby, this a early w.i.p, be patient I don`t model a human since a year ago, so...

09-23-2005, 07:00 AM (

more progress in the baby head, I try te renacentist style, so please I need some critics, this baby head is very dificult.
