View Full Version : how to overclock nvidia card??

09 September 2005, 12:38 AM

I finally get my new video card, gainward 6600 256MB memory, and the shop assistant said me that itīs possible to get out much more out of the card with the rivatuner tool.
I downloaded the tool, but I never before overclocked a graphic card, and rivatuner looks very complex to me. Is there any webpage out there, which says me which settings are serious and safe?

a reminder that overclocking your video card voids warranty and may cause
instability of you system.

Get rid of riva tuner, theres nothing in there you really need. Just google for coolbits.reg and install it. Now on your regular drivers tab will be a clockrate tab, nudge the sliders up by 5mhz every few hours and check the stability. Dont forget to set the dropdown to 3d rather than 2d first.
