View Full Version : Quadro FX 1300 or Quadro FX 3000?

The 3000 is a mid level card but it has the old style AGP connection...
the 1300 uses the new PCI-e but is more of an entry level card in terms of specs. But, the increased throughput of the PCI-e may more than compensate for the lower specs...Im not sure.

I can get both for the same price. Which one is better?

I'm not 100% sure about 3D apps, but I can tell you most applications out there dont even saturate the AGP8x bus, let alone the PCIe 16x. So I wouldnt worry about it. The bandwidth that the PCIe bus will bring will not counter balance the lower specs when compared to the AGP 3000. Especially if the card has alot of ram.

EDIT: Also, the kind of slot you have will dictate which card you can get....

I'd like to know your impressions on the 3000, if you have time.
