OK well I guess I am in on this one to...this theme just sounds like to much fun....maybe I'll see this one through :argh:
One thing that I learned though from the last challenge, that I don't have the time for challenges anymore.....
..but this time I hope to prove myself wrong....
Need to come up with an idea first..then you'll get a sketch...

I had to get something on paper and this mess is what came out one drunken night (tonight actually)....
basicaly the concept is this....
An elaborate and beautiful city lies in the path of a group of mechanical onlookers. The city glistens in the Background, a single defender and an elaborate white door stand in their way.....))
This is SO tempy right now it's sick. I'm ashamed to put this chicken scratch up but if I have any chance of actually finishing this challenge this time I don't have time to trace over this sketch on the tablet and make it look all pretty..hey it's a sketch right....

spent about an hour blocking some animatic things out very simple like ...just to get a feel for it is all ..going to build the scene and composition up strong first before I go forward with my modeling , ect.

I like the lighting and the composition. Good basis for your piece!

well thank you very much for the coment ...considering I only spent 20 or so minutes putting his compo together ...
unfortunatly I don't think time is going to be my friend on this one....just way to much going on at ol' work....but prehaps the next chalenge I will have some free time..
Shame less self premotion here...
check out the final 4 episodes of Stargate SG1 for some quality FX...we just wraped on one of the 4.......(Ethon)...and the budget and freedom the producers have given us has lead to some Really cool shots..especially for TV...so check them out...I don't think the air time is untill Jan. 06 though....
Thanks and good luck to all in this contest............. :applause:
