Hello everybody !

This is my first challenge here... Yes, I'm a newbie... :)

I'll post my concept sketch only tomorrow.

Bye, and good luck for all !

For me, extreme motors sports are very impressive.
During a show, when I saw a back loop with a motocross bike, I thought : Waouh !
And after few months, I saw the same figure with a quad, I thought : it's incredible, these guys are very crazy !

After a brainstorming, I think that : a back loop with a big foot car, that'll be very spectacular !!!

Well, this is my idea for this challenge.

Good idea there
But I'm not sure about the viewing angle, you should try something more dynamic, maybe a view from the bottom next to the cars between the two jumpers.
Anyway good luck ;)

Yes, I think the same thing !
But it's just the general concept, the final (maybe...) viewing angle will be on the little mark beside the first jumper, now I work on it...

Thanks for your advice ! :bounce:

It's another viewing angle, I think that isn't so good...
But if I mix the twice angles of concepts, perhaps I'll can go to a better result !

To see a little night sky will be certainly better for contrast with stadium and peoples...

vehicle stunts, hugh… ok:] what i would offer you is to try experimenting with angles, camera position and composition in real 3d viewport. it often happiens for us, unexperienced 2d painters (we're experienced 3d artists, aren't we?:] ), is incorrect perspective or proportions in space, planned in sketch - later you'll be having problems with laying out 3D things in wanted order. make some realy rough dummies and spend much time with your camera - this is yet one of the hardest tasks (at least for me). for this event, i'd recommend camera itself be nearly on the ground level, from human's point of view, looking up to the car - this would make that jump even more grandiose.

Yes, I know, I'm not a really good 2d painter... But for simples roughs, I think that's better and faster than 3D, and after more training I hope become better !! ;)

But I'm agree with you Uiron, now, I work on a very simple 3D world of my idea to make easier the search of a better viewing angle... Nearly the ground and looking up to big-foot car, that's the key from a spectacular point of view !!
Maybe just on the right side of the first jumper or in font of, I don't know...

I'll try and post !!

Thanks and see you later !

This is my last rough, I worked on the car design, just to have a better idea of my central element !
After this one, I'll work only in 3D... ;)

In the same time, my basic 3D world are in progress, maybe somes tests this evening...

This is the first viewing angle test...
I'm not sure but with a bigger big-foot car, that'll be better...

09 September 2005, 10:24 PM
maybe car's moving direction should be towards to the viewer rather than away from him?

I prefer this test than the last one, the car is bigger and the general viewing angle are more "compact".
It's more dynamics I think.

I have to see more *subscribe*

Check my entry

After reflection and some tests... I think like you Uiron, the car is too far from the viewer !

I think that my last viewing angle test are better, more spectacular (I hope ;) )...
And in the background, they'll have lots of bigs spots, peoples with flash...

This is a little wheels test. On a big-foot car, wheels and tyres are very importants (and really bigs...), here the rim have sport-car look like.

But I prefer this design than a simple "tractor design", it's more funny !
