Hello everybody, ready for new challenge, i'm so exiting to participate once again..YEEAAAAHHHH !! good luck for all of us !

This is mine first idea ... what do you think about ?

09 September 2005, 12:09 PM
Salut Alexandre !!
Bienvenue dans ce nouveau challenge.
Nice start:thumbsup: May you could tilt the camera a bit more. This would add more dynamic feel?
And add many more cars and trucks and exploding gas stations and a giant flying saucer (which, of course, is the source of all that great crash). Lol

Yo Manu!! LOL comme d'habitude l'exagération ne te fais pas peur!!:) But seriously i think that is a good advice what you tell me... I mean that flying saucer coulb be the source of this explosion... mmmmmmmm... I will think of it..

09 September 2005, 12:24 PM
Yeah flying saucers! ALIEN INVASION!!!

good luck!

09 September 2005, 01:14 PM
Looks like a potentially spectacular scene!
Like spacesnail said, add a whole lot more chaos and devastation to it. That should be a very action-packed image.Good luck!

09 September 2005, 01:31 PM
Nice idae. Try to add some more detail. Have fun!:bounce:

09 September 2005, 02:09 PM
Cool Idea I like.

09 September 2005, 02:31 PM
Good close-up, very dinamic. But... I can`t see any idea here. Yes, a car accident can be very spectacular, but this concept seems to me a little bit banal. Why don`t you try something with more interesting, sophisticated plot?
Good luck anyway. Peace:)

09 September 2005, 02:34 PM
Hey,hello très chouette debut!derby crashing felling ha,ha.
Indeed maybe still play some more around with the camera to obtain this really spectactular angle.
but if not this really gotta be fun!!!
Good luck and loads of fun!!!

09 September 2005, 12:58 AM
Good start my friend, good start and good to see you back here again. will be keeping up with your progress.

09 September 2005, 11:33 AM
Salut Fiolka! Great start, classic action scene, and as daft as adding a spaceship might sound, it would be a great way to personalise an image that has been done before. Heh heh.. this gets me going cause I wanna know what kind of car that will be.. Dodge charger maybe? or a Mustang (which is what they look like to me)? or a Pontiac GTO? *grin* girly car nut here...

I've been thinking about the explosion/carchase scenes in movies that have really taken my breath away, stuff like the motorway chase in the Matrix 2, or some of the final chase scenes in stuff like the James Bond films, or Fast and Furious, Gone in 60 seconds, Triple X that sort of thing. Perhaps having the second, smaller car expoding into more bits might make the scene more spectacular, a wheel flying off, bits of the engine everywhere, so on and so forth, and dramatic body language in the driver would help too, really fighting to control the car etc etc.

Gods, get me, here's a novel for my first post. A good sign that I'm excited about this entry though... *grin* Bonne chance, Fiolka!

(whoops - edit, just realised I'd deleted the word mustang from that car list.. but its there now!!)

09 September 2005, 11:46 AM
Hof: thank you man.. it's just the beginning, so be patient, more thing are coming, i will add more details and an background history:)

OKMER: Thank you man! and vive la Belgique!! where are you come from? i mean what begium's city?

Arc 80: thank you my friend! and once again, good luck!!:bounce:

Zepyhri: WWAAOOUUUWW!! thank you so much for your post!! that help me so much!! thank thank!! I did not intend to put characters in my image, but the idea you've tell me to add a character with a dramatic body language, that he fight to keep control is a very good advice!!! thank a lot!! and for detail, don't be affraid, i think about!! it's just the beginning!

09 September 2005, 07:11 PM
Hey, Fiolka! Nice concept you have there. Great sense of perspective and movement. Lots of energy in that one. Keep going!

09 September 2005, 05:16 PM
Great use of perspective :) It looks very dynamic. Maby darker background would make explosion more spectacular but i can be wrong.

I wish you luck

09 September 2005, 07:11 PM
looks like '67 Mustang to me,
nice concept, but I agree that needs some more stuff going on, myabe street fight, kind of like in the Heat, there are couple of shots there that could work here,
good luck

09 September 2005, 08:28 PM
Awesome idea at this point.

09 September 2005, 11:40 AM
Salut Alexandre!
If that's not spectacular! Cool sketch, I would put a few characters in it, but I suppose it's on the way. All my best for the next steps. :bounce:
And yes this I'll try the 3D one as you noticed, it will be different work and result. For the moment I hope I'll manage to finish it in time.

Cheers

09 September 2005, 03:57 PM
hi Fiolka,

good start! I´m really interesting which cars you´ll choose for this one. currently they seem to be two mustangs. I´m curious to see further development.

The only strange thing is the arrangement of the cars and the explosion (main action) because it is behind the car in the front which is moves more into the center of interest. Maybe a frontal crash could be also an option.

09 September 2005, 04:11 PM
great concept... keep it up man!!

big mouth
09 September 2005, 09:23 AM
hay man, good concept with a good start, which car r u using.
r u using tablet for painting.

09 September 2005, 12:06 AM
Hey Fiolka, very cool name by the way, sounds like flower,
I'm really couries what you going to do with this, and what car is it?????
I have that thing with cars, so I just want to know if I'm wrong
waiting for some more stuff, love that

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

09 September 2005, 03:18 PM
Pawlack: Thank you man for advices.:)

thierry2005: see you soon on your 3d thread and good luck for this one! cheers.

Fahrija: the model of car that i'll use, is old american car, like mustang, corvette, dodge..that kind of beautiful car.

Ducklator: thank you man.:)

big mouth: i've use mouse to drawn my sketch, but don't worry i've a wacom and i'll use it!:)

so i'm very very busy at this time in my company, but some new stuff are coming, and i'm wondering if i do not leave this idea to another fact i've got another less"ordinary" i'll post soon my new sketch...thank for all of us!!!

09 September 2005, 07:19 AM (

Another idea... Hope you like it.

09 September 2005, 09:19 PM
I like the new one. You could probably go with an even more dramatic upward angle, with a cloud of rocks hovering overhead. Nice stuff so far. Bonne chance.

09 September 2005, 09:50 PM
very cool idea , I still like the cars,
but i think this one is more original

09 September 2005, 11:23 PM
Hey man, cool new sketch and I have to say I like this concept better than your previous, keep it up mate!

09 September 2005, 02:12 AM
now this is definitely more ori than the previous concept~christhatguy has a point with the angle!keep it coming ,

09 September 2005, 02:47 AM
Oooh, a new concept. Yes, i definately dig this one than the car idea. A lot more original and i can see the colours looking very dynamic. I do agree with CHRIS about the angle though. Keep it up my friend and i'll be back for more updates :bounce:

09 September 2005, 07:23 PM
Arc80: Thank you my friend!:) A new update will be post tomorow..this one it's just a first sketch for my new idea...i want to make certainly a woman and make a background less abstract...add maybe destruct building, cars i've to work harder and harder... see you soon on your thread.

sh@ke: thank you i 've said to Arc, it's just a first sketch for my new i want to work on many many details and so on camera angle.. thank for your post man!

Rudeone, Korline: Thanks!! i agree...i think that may other sketch with cars look not original... so i hope this one is more...

ChrisThatGuy: thank you man! i 'll put a better camera angle, for like you say add more drama on my stuff! tahnk for your post and see yaaa!:)

09 September 2005, 07:26 PM
This works very well in the thumbnail. So start adding detail already
Nothing really radical to help you out. Good luck!

09 September 2005, 09:55 PM
Rock! This topic is much more interesting! the posing of the character and the composition are very convincing.

Maybe you need something wich underlines the spectacular power of your character. Maybe a classic counter part. A weak character. e.g. an astounded apprentice, or if you go the other way some victims. I would show some indications of enviroment in the background > just to increase the depth of the image. Just some suggestions.

Keep it up!

09 September 2005, 10:01 PM

Your new concept is the best, I do agree with my other colleagues that you may want to examine a different camera angle. Its dramatic now, but with a new angle, it could surpass spectacular.

--Take Care

09 September 2005, 02:05 PM
good luck bro, seems good...

09 September 2005, 06:53 PM
Good concept and good choice of color i wait the suite with impatience, your character is very emotional, i wish the coloring wip will be in the moebuis style like your master and servant challenge
good work:thumbsup:

10 October 2005, 11:10 AM
the fury of the chaman, i like a lot, between akira and shadowrun

10 October 2005, 11:31 AM
Yep! Remembers Akira. Better than the other one, keep it up!

10 October 2005, 02:33 PM
majority vote rules. scrap the cars :P hehe i cant wait to see me from you. good job so far.

10 October 2005, 02:39 PM
Hi! I really like your new concept! Excellent colors! The great composition! I look forward to seeing this progress! Good luck! :)

10 October 2005, 02:54 PM
I like your composition a lot. The palette is nice, and the hint of green in the cape contrasts nicely with the orange in the background. Good luck getting both the darker valies of the cape and the lighter values of the skin to pop against the background! :) Looking forward to seeing the next update...

11 November 2005, 09:32 AM
Greta new concept Alexandre, go go go now, no time to loose!!hehe, it will look nice:thumbsup:

11 November 2005, 10:39 PM (

this is my character's just the work of the body and facial language. my final composition will look more graphik and vectoriel.

11 November 2005, 11:57 PM
I see you had a little time to post an update :p Nice little sketch of the main character. Keep it coming and hope to see more updates :arteest:

cheers my friend

11 November 2005, 11:10 AM
wow... very strong image...
maybe you could close his eyes some more, he looks a bit afraid of something, but what do I know, I wish I could draw like that, good work, keep going!!

11 November 2005, 05:45 PM (

new update..i'm so busy so far that i've not time to work on my spectacular... now i've until 5 december to work harder on it to, i hope, finish comment and crits are very welcome.

11 November 2005, 09:25 PM (

i've added more vectoriel element in order to give a more graphik feeling to my image... i would erase the shaman and replace him by another main character..maybe a little girl.

11 November 2005, 11:06 PM
It looks good how you managed to merge those graphic design elements with your illustration. The pallette is also very nice. Let's see how it progresses. keep it up.

11 November 2005, 11:14 PM
NICE! I love the design elements and the power you have managed to incorporate into your image. Great work!

11 November 2005, 07:05 AM
that's looks good, I like where you going with that :applause:

11 November 2005, 06:25 AM
The very great work! I really like it! :) And I think, if you change the shaman by a little girl, that'll change the idea as a whole. The shaman demonstrates his great abilities intentionally! And the situation with a little girl is completely different! It will be just emotions (fury or something else)! And it seems to me, in that case you will need to change the background in order to explain what happens with this girl! It's my opinion! Good luck! :)

11 November 2005, 10:27 PM (

so, i've change background color...Purple give more "magic" and "strange" feeling i think. So, i'm sure that i'll change my main character.A shaman girl certainly.

11 November 2005, 10:36 PM
I like the new color scheme. It IS more magic, less explosiony. I* also like the white, zippy lines - more of those could also make the piece feel more magical... at least it would in my eyes! :)

Good luck!

11 November 2005, 02:51 AM
thats a good one fiolka~the progress is running hot~:scream:

11 November 2005, 04:39 AM
wwo! nice effect you have here! very good job and dynamic image! but a graphic box thing in background seem a bit off , but if you want graphic look ,its' ok,

11 November 2005, 08:48 AM
Excellent. Love the power of uour picture. better in red I think.
To crit I'll just say the muscles of the character are a little too apparent, strong for a silhouette.
Good luck to finish it.

11 November 2005, 09:51 PM
Lync: Thank man for your support. It would become more and more graphik i think...:p

Korline: Thanks. I hope i get finished before deadline..thank you to post on my thread.:wavey:

Atris: yes you're right, indeed i 'll not put a little girl but a shaman girl in order to stay in a"power control" feeling.thank man and i repeat, you do a very great job man, keep goin' on:buttrock:

Walrus: indeed, it is necessary that I find the happy medium... the magic side is too present compared to the explosive i've to work and work...but? when do I sleep? We all are in the same situation I think... one needs sleep, but it is so justifying:D

Shake: Thank man for your support!

Monsitj: You're right... i think i'll erase this graphik box on background, or maybe work on it harder. thank mister monsitj to post on my thread, keep goin'on man.

Authentic: yes, indeed you're right..but it's just the main character concept sketch, and i'll rease him and replace him by a shaman woman. My next update will be a sketch for my woman character.:arteest:

Thank all for your support and your advice.:bounce:

11 November 2005, 11:32 PM
Fiolka -

Sleep? What's that?

11 November 2005, 01:51 AM
This is looking good, fiolka. The latest color scheme is great

11 November 2005, 12:47 PM
walrus: :D lol..indeed the word "sleeping" is unknow for all of us.

zpapageo: thank mate...

Sooooooo... hurry uuppppppp !!

11 November 2005, 02:33 PM
Good Luck Alexandre!!
It's very dynamic with lots of energy.
I think it's original in red.

11 November 2005, 02:19 PM
The color scheme change is definetely a warm welcome to this piece. And if I understood right, this main character will be a girl??? Well, it wil be nice to see that change when u'll make it. I cant really imagine it right now but Im sure it would be a nice touch puting a "soft" character into this rough environment. kepp up the good work!

11 November 2005, 10:49 PM (

caracter and background update..i try to put more grafik element..hope you like it...

11 November 2005, 11:55 PM
great job Fiolka
love your design, like how you've put graphic elements in it,
I would work a bit more on the character in the center to give some more dimension
if you gonna put some more elements in I would suggest something a bit darker then the background so it looks like it's behind it all to get more depth, just a thought, :D
anyway this is cool
cheers :)

11 November 2005, 03:28 AM
Hmmm, I'm not so sure about the graphic elements, but overall it's looking good. Very dynamic.

11 November 2005, 08:33 AM
Korline: Thanks man for your support.Indeed you're right.I'll work on my character and put him a bit darker and add more, it's just a concept sketch."What?! a concept sketch! Man hurry up!! deadline is coming!!" wwooowww i speak to i crazy?! Yes Britney...WWOOOAAWWW!! what do I tell??! :argh: I must sleep right now! but i've to finish this one before...:banghead:

ChrisThatGuy: Don't worry about grafik elements, i'll work on them and try to integrate them much better with the rocks.

11 November 2005, 08:50 AM
hi mate, cool mangraphic style:wip: nice compos and lighting.can't wait to see how it turn out.keep going.cheers.:buttrock: :bounce:

11 November 2005, 10:24 PM (

update of grafiks elements integration. i've to work on my character and background details.

12 December 2005, 08:13 PM
Yup, the graphic integration looks very interesting. I think its a really nice approach... i like it a lot. Something different to see. The only suggestion i can give is that maybe add a little bit more of small stones and dust particles to balance it with the big ones.
Other than that, keep the update coming my friend. Love the colours

12 December 2005, 08:17 PM
It's very DBZ looking - like some character powering up. I like the lighting and the explosive motion. Can't wait to see more...

12 December 2005, 09:37 AM
Arc80: Thank my friend. you're right. i'll add more dust particles in my composition.Thank man for your precious advice.

EricClaeys: Thanks man for your support.Indeed, it's a very "manga" style. I grew with the mangas, which has me inevitably influenced. Others grow with the comics, me in fact the mangas occupied my childhood.

xric7: Thanks xric to post in my thread:) . 3 days to finish my spectacular, it's short, but i can do it! I must do it!

12 December 2005, 10:29 AM
Wow ! great dynamic in your picture ! very cool style !
I see that you change the look of your main character... it's not much time remained
so hurry up with your entry ! good luck ! :)

12 December 2005, 10:55 AM
WoW! Love the comic feel to this...

And the graphics work nicely with the action and the composition. And the bold graphic feel really makes it stand out in this competition.

12 December 2005, 12:30 AM (

another update...coloring i've to sleep a little bit.

12 December 2005, 12:35 AM
I like what you have done with the colours and the character. I'd like to see a close up o the character :)

Good luck for finishing in time :)

12 December 2005, 10:02 PM (

to be finished...add character details..few hours on this and i hope finish it before deadline.

12 December 2005, 12:24 PM
very good job Fiolka!

I like the graphic elements you included, and the rocks and everything... it looks amazing...

My only crit is that maybe the girl is a bit too muscular, too man-like...

Good luck with it!!!

12 December 2005, 03:22 PM
Good motion!! The drawing somehow very comical style~

12 December 2005, 11:03 PM (

Selina was a young woman who lived alone with her animals, with the variation of her
native village. All her family;father, mother, brothers and sisters; was erased by the
great plague. Carrying out a very simple life, Selina enjoy her new life at the
side of its animals.

But this heavy history was far from being finished. For several years, people of the
village had been wary more and more of Selina. Indeed, they found very strange the fact that
Selina was the only surviving of this epidemic. That accentuate with the death of all the
animals of the village. Only those of Selina survive. The villagers, become more and more
furious. This council resulted the fact that Selina could be only an
evil's instigator ... a witch!

They thus made the decision to kill Selina. she was immured alive in a cave at the
fine bottom of the mountain. But as each one knows, a witch must be burn.

I shake in my image two quite distinct style which particularly hold me with heart. "comic
style" and "vector style".the first I discovered it during my childhood with the mangas and
the comics... the second is much more recent. I wanted to make pass the feeling of power
and of fury through this image.I' tried to capture in same time the movement and the static.
My character expresses his rage towards this world which does not understand it.
It lets burst its anger and prepares its revenge

12 December 2005, 03:29 PM
HamsterFly: Thanks you my friend..:D that's finish now...ouffff.

duddlebug: Thank you DUUDDDDDDLE!! Like i've said before, i've tried to mix two style that are important for me..comic style and vector style.Good luck to you man.

Lync: A close up to my character is coming this evening. Thanks for your support.:buttrock:

elmasfeo: Indeed you're right, but if i work on my girl character like a man it's to show her awesome power. So i've accentuate her muscles...
Thank you man, and good luck too.:bounce:

thaisoon: Thanks man for post in my thread.:D

12 December 2005, 05:06 PM
