Hey Aleeex, very glad you like this update, i think i need to make the house more old, putting more geometry and giving non-uniform aspect.
Do you have suggestions for me friend? :scream:
10 October 2005, 06:19 PM
Nice update dude, house looks real cool:thumbsup:  Hmmm.. I think if you could add some small cracks on the walls with some bricks coming out, will definetely make it look older, just a suggestion dude:) can be done with bump maps and you can also achieve results by adding more geometry as you have already mentioned:)
Cool progress just Go go go...:bounce: :bounce:
10 October 2005, 02:05 PM
I agree with you madshooter, i need to make older houses (but i think i will to make good textures including bumps and specs maps), thanks for your suggestions my friend are so usefull for me.

11 November 2005, 04:39 PM
Texturing the city (some maps are non-definitives)
 I really love this scene very nice texturing dude:thumbsup: well a small suggestion you can add more dirt and small stones on the ground surface, will add more to your scene, just a suggestion. Very nice work on indian cart. Keep going dude very few days left, verymuch eager to see the final image:bounce:
11 November 2005, 09:11 PM

11 November 2005, 01:18 PM
I need your help, i have doubts for the final colour image, is better the black and white or the colour one?.
11 November 2005, 01:47 PM
It depends of the ambience you want and the matter of your picture but for the moment I prefer the "yellow" one.
11 November 2005, 04:55 PM
11 November 2005, 06:02 PM
i prefer with color ;)
11 November 2005, 06:26 PM
Hi Victor, wow what work you've done since the last time I dropped by, really nice!
I prefer the color one, it has a lovely mood in it, that I think would fit your concept much better.
Awsome rendering and modeling sofar!:) I'm sure thet rest will be as nice.
11 November 2005, 05:38 AM
Of course, the first one is more near to your concept... but I really love the hot mood of the second one... really depend of the next steps... anyway... you have done something very beautiful...
11 November 2005, 02:22 PM
Lemog, thierry2005, CGdfc, madshooter, authentic: Thanks for all the compliments, suggestions and more.
I think the winner is the second option (the colour one), now i´m working in more items of the environment and some colour and maps corrections, still a lot of work to do.
Thanks again friends.
11 November 2005, 07:12 PM
Rendering the city (click to enlarge the image)
11 November 2005, 03:41 AM
speechless~awesome rendering job, fantastic textures too.the overall seems like it was composited with occlusion pass.
11 November 2005, 06:38 AM
nice Victor, keepit up! it depends on furute refinenings to choose bw or rgB:d:thumbsup:
11 November 2005, 04:12 PM
Thanks Michael and Ali:
@Shake: I have fear because the occlusion render takes about 2 or 3 times more than the normal render :scream: , very glad you like it mate
@ali: Thanks friend, i think now the colour version is the most effective for my final pic :)
Thanks 4 viewing
11 November 2005, 04:33 PM
Wonderful work Victor. Thanks and good luck to!
11 November 2005, 11:15 PM
Thanks apocryph, for your words, friend. Hope to see you in the next challenge
11 November 2005, 08:10 AM
11 November 2005, 10:20 AM
good lighting..but you can make volume lighte or little fog..good luck
11 November 2005, 05:37 PM
This image has a really nice lighting to it:wip: and the modeling looks very good. I think the door on the bottom left corner of the image looks a little small or short. Great job so far.
11 November 2005, 12:14 AM
amazing work man...it looks like a photo.....very real and detailed:twisted:
11 November 2005, 12:57 AM
I saw one of those sunsets tonight where the air itself seems filled with color and my first thought was "hey, it looks like that Indian street scene rendering!" I love it when art and nature intersect like that. I'm glad you chose the color. If you didn't do another thig it would still be an outstanding piece. Can't wait to see were you take it.
11 November 2005, 04:29 PM
Woaa! nice lighting setup, colors looks warm and soft - i like that! Only my eye cought the balcony supporters, they need some texture correction, more detail on them(title, title ;) ) , as in your whole scene.
Keep up with good work!
11 November 2005, 04:35 PM
Ojoj! Victor - that last render looks terrific! Mood is perfect - so calm and lazy ... you can almost feel the smell of curry. Really nice.
If anything, I suggest you make some kind of dust - it feels a bit clean right now. Maybe just some athmospheric haze could do it.
Looking forward to see the rest
11 November 2005, 07:09 PM
11 November 2005, 08:00 PM
i really like the evironment but if i can suggest that you do something to break up the stright edges of the top of the buildings and walls... it would help you convey a more realistic feel to the image. right now it just seems too synthetic. to clean.
any who. beast of luck come back soon!! :D
11 November 2005, 05:40 AM
Very nice lighting... just take care to certain textures... as for wood of the windows, or the one of balcony... the kind of marble under the balcony seem very strange here...
take attention to the little windows with the round part, the relief around seem very sharp on that kind of terra walls, not ?
for the rest, that comes veru good... you can continue like that...
11 November 2005, 07:10 AM
Hi Victor! Nice work!
11 November 2005, 02:45 PM
rattlesnake: Muchas gracias por los consejos amigo, los tengo muy en cuenta y estoy trabajando en ello, un saludo
metalspring: Yes, i agree with you, the scene needs a litlle bit of fog, i think i will make it i postpro
mmoir: Yes, it´s the perspective shot, the door is almost 2 meters height, lot of work to do in this scene, hope can i finish
melkao: Wow, mate, thanks for the compliments and really glad you like it
glenn23: Those are the most impressive words i can read.
Dodgeas3d: Totally agree with you, mate. Now i´m working in those details and the indian female but 2 weeks is not enought for me :D
Gunilla: Yes, yes, wise words for sure, my dear Gunilla. But i think i will make the dust in photoshop, i don´t have too time for make the dust in max
dvelasco: Thanks thanks thanks :scream: only 2 or 3 days to make the lightning of this scene
Slav: Really this is my personal nightmare, the fillet borders, hope i can finsih the scene with good corners
Lemog: Yes, i´m deleting those textures now, and working in the news ones
LexLe: Glad you like it, and tons of luck to you too
THANKS TO ALL FOR THE KIND WORDS, SUGGESTIONS AND ALL THE CRITS.
AND... THANKS FOR VIEWING
11 November 2005, 03:24 PM
Coming along beautifully Ilusion
Really go with the choice of warmer 'temperature' in the second image, for sure....
looks like a good time also to sort out some diffusion mapping for the architectural and ground elements (especially in the foreground) as doing this will help to determine the compositional placement and 'weighting' of any props (ie - elements such as the cart - which is looking very good IMO); fine work, my friend!
11 November 2005, 05:05 PM
Hey Atwooky, glad you liked the image, but i don´t understand what you mean when you refer to diffusion mapping, can you give me an example pleeeeeaseeeee???
11 November 2005, 07:15 PM
Sorry Ilusiondigital, I missed this thread.
Great work here, really... man you are

Texturing the indian female
11 November 2005, 10:36 AM
Wow, Victor, nice texturing work. Well done! Your final pic will surely be awsome, keep it going like this.
11 November 2005, 10:51 AM
Nice texturing, of course... but I'm not really sure about the fabrics patterns... not appear really indian for me... but I'm not a real specialist.... just my first feeling... :)
11 November 2005, 11:45 AM
yes I think so, it needs differents patterns for cloth to achieve the bollywood´s womenstyle jeje
also the right hand seems to big and eyes needs a texture...
PD: vienes esta tarde o mañana??? (estoy deseando ver el helicoptero...;))
11 November 2005, 07:01 PM
Very nice textures dude:thumbsup: I like the fabric, cause its a village scene and normally females in villages wear colourfull clothes and full of designs and patterns. Maybe if you make the clothes more colourfull might look more cool, but I prettty much like the colours and patterns on her clothes. Overall very nice job dude:)
11 November 2005, 07:04 PM
Also that thing on her head, is way too big, you can reduce the size and make it more smaller.
Just a suggestion:)
11 November 2005, 12:11 PM
Final render in 3 passes (need to composite in postpro)
11 November 2005, 12:16 PM
Madshoother and dgrauers: Yes, in the final render i change the size of the gigantic hand hehh, thanks for your support, my friends
Lemog: Laurent, are you not an specialist in the indian patterns?? ? hummmm i´m dissapointed with you hehehehehe, thanks for your suggestion mate, i used lots (tons) of photos to see the pattern in the india and.. it´s impressive brilliant colours, all the patterns of the world, hehe. I thisnk it´s a typical but not usual indian female
thierry2005: Kind words from a great designer and friend
Thanks 4 all, for viewing and for all the crits and suggestions. What more can i say?? :bounce:
11 November 2005, 05:19 PM
Post fx´s and compositing layers
11 November 2005, 07:40 PM
It´s a festive day in India, such a magical and enchanted place. A young indian girl named Pema, who resides in Madurai, wanted her sacred friend named Zahir to visit one of the most beautiful buddhist temples of the country and hence their incredible journey began.
Here we can see her filled with happiness and returning from the temple. Half of the journey is complete and now she awaits the long journey back home and the many adventures that will cross in their path.
It´s antonishing what we can acomplish for our loved ones, even the most SPECTACULAR tasks.
PS: Zahir (persian word), according with the writer Borges, carries the meaning of such things which cannot pass as unnoticed.
PS2: Pema (indian word) means Lotu´s flower as the writer I. Allende suggests
I want to dedicate this final image to my family, my dear Carolina, my goooood friend Rudy, my friend and max tutor Daniel Grauers and to Madshooter for the constact support, suggestions, and kind words, and all the people affected by natural disasters.
Thanks to all
....... now i can rest for the moment
