spectacular is life
spectacular is living
spectacular is emotion
no scientist can claim to have the key to life, why we are here, where we came from, how we think, why we believe what we do..Why one persons reality is another persons fantasy..
the body and mind are the most spectacular machine, not even in todays technological and medical progress can anyone explain how it all works----

They are asking questions;
- why do you live
- why do you grow old
- when will you die
- why do you think
- why do you love
- why do you laugh
- why do you cry
- why do you hurt
- why do you rage
- why do you bleed
- why do we sacrafice ourselves
- why do we kill ourselves
- why do we kill each other
They tell her the answer lies in the heart, that is the key to life, love, anger - emotion
the heart is why her feelings betray her.
But looking upon the hert of her lover, she sees no answers, no reason for her being, her loving, her hurt
all she can see is blood
all she can hear is silence
have they tricked her
where have they gone

the girl has been hurt by her lover
it has effected her and sent her into an altered state of mind
she is hearing voices
she is suffering from a form of Asperger Syndrome
her life has temporally become her fantasy
she needs to know why she is feeling like this
so she looks for the answer in the place that they told her the answer lies
she has killed her lover
spectacular in this image is
- the body / the heart
- the mind / the heart
- strngth of emotion love and hurt
- people ability to love and kill
- our micro vs macro reality (what is real for one person at one time vs what is real for every person all the time)

the image is a recreation of the scene through the characters eyes, not a photo of the scene
the character sees that moment as both beautiful and disturbing/confusing
the tatoo of angels wings on her back may or may not have been real but are to represent the characters out of body / out of mind state
i may do this piece as a black and white render, perhaps with just one part of the image in color like the hair a deep red...will do some tests and see
okay so this is not a spectacular ork battle, trip to nippilonia (as someone has quoted) giant tidal wave or the moment england won the world cup in 1966 (guess that depends on where you come from)....but it is where my concept took me..I had many ideas over the past few weeks but none of them really made me want to create an image...and well this one does...i know its quite abstract and a bit dark but the rules did ask us to flex our imaginations and well thats what i did (i did really want to crete a happy piece like an indian wedding scene or something, but hey you can lead you mind to the fountain of happyness and flowers but you cant make it drink from it)
some other people appear to be doing quite abstract takes on spectacular so i hope my theme is okay..and at leat somewhat fits into the subject...
enough rambling....
good luck to yall, and remember to look outside and enjoy the sun from time to time>>>>>

well I hope that my concept sketch clearly illustrates what i want to achieve, im pretty terrable with a pencil so i have outlined my sketch with paths in photoshop to give a clearer picture...not sure if this will be the final pose but certainly something similar, i want to concentrate on the back...the back can be a really beautiful part of the body and we dont see too many images focusing on the back....i want to make the face quite innocent looking and perhaps put the knife in the left hand..maybe..definatly want her in jeans....perhaps a short cropped haircut....

anyway time for some modeling....

really like to hear any comments you may have........
