harr harr! Välkommen! :scream:

After weeks of thinking and brainstorming I have finaly come up with a idea that I like.
Basically a kid visits his grandpha who is a sientist, who have been building a time machine but it's pritty unstable and not finnished. He lieves the boy in the workshop to get some cookeys and coffe. The little boy sees the time machine standing in the room and walks to check it out. He sit down in the main chair and looks at all the buttons and levers. I wonder what the big one in the middle does? The boy pulls the lever and ... BAAAMMM!
He's transported right in the front of a vicious dinosaur that's just about to kill another dinosaur... And it's this moment I will try to illustrate and make...spectacular.
Next up is trying to find a nice prespective and start to sketch this moment :)
sorry for my bad english :/

Cool idea! :)
Looking forward to seeing the scene where this will take place!

Just a quick sketch of the moment I wrote about. Need to work a lot more on this...
I want to get a more exiting prespective and more speed to it. But this is the concept. The little boy will be standing n the middle of the blue sphere. He's not going to look frightened just baffled and he will be holding a time watch instead of sitting in a whole time machene.
Now I'm going to work on the boy character a little :)

Sketch of the hunting dinosaur..
Please feal free to comment and give some suggestions! :)

Great start! Very nicely drawn Dino, good action pose

Off to another time... Well a sketch of the boy( name suggestion?)that will end up right in front of the visious T-rex :)
Gotta get some sleep...
09 September 2005, 12:25 AM
Name him Walter. (I have no idea why. First thing I could think of.)
Great concept. My suggestion: make the second dinosaur (not the T-rex) writhing on the ground, wounded. That way it looks like the kid just interrupted what the T-rex thought would be a sure meal. :)
09 September 2005, 11:33 AM
Walter... hmm maybe :)
The idea was that the T-rex is just about to attack another dinosaur and thats when "Walter" arrives in his blue bubble right in the middle. But I will try your suggestion Chris, maby that looks better...

that T Rex is amazingl. Great pose man.

I agree with Kamjar Fadai about Sketch of the hunting dinosaur..
It has great sense of speed and depth. I dont usually see normal sketches with that much depth in them.
Just keep searching. You will find the correct idea.

Changed the t-rex to a allosaurus, how original :)
And the "meal" dinosaur is a Parasaurolophus(Who came up with that name?!). Allso changed the pose for that dinosaur, so it is now trying to run away from the allosaurus.
What do you think of this setup?

very cool drawings love that boy and the reflection in the eyes
t rex is very well drawn to, just I can't see last image again it's been happening often latley all I see is very top of it so I don't know if it is my comp or somone has the same problems, anyway good luck man :applause:

Loving that dinosaur! Just not as crazy about the boy, he looks fine, but compared to the dinos he looks too cartoony for me. Looking forward to the light effects!

Korline - Strange.. I havn't had enny problem with images:shrug: Maby you got a bad internet connection?
Jose Pardo - Well it's just a sketch, I will make him more realistic later:)
Thank you all for your comments!

Hlo, just popped in to say that's a good start right there.
An idea: you could play around with the composition a bit. What you got there works already, but it could be more cinematic as well.
But I bet you were going to do that anyways. Over 60 days to go, och så vidare. (Ahem, needless flaunting of pathetic Swedish skills there.)
09 September 2005, 01:44 PM
You got the cool pose of the t-rex!
09 September 2005, 06:40 PM
wow, you have very good skills, those dinosaurs look great!
is the boy floating in the air in his bubble, just in front of the allosaurus mouth, or is he standing on the ground?
judging for what I can see now, I'm going to like the background a lot too... "sun that shines through the leaves"... sounds good
09 September 2005, 09:01 PM
heheh! Great idea!! :D i love the expression on the kid's face, poor thing :D
i love Paraso! one of my fav dinosaurs and you just captured him very nice.
good luck in the challenge

Hmm.. life is ruff when your 17. Lot to think about.. Havn't had mutch time to work with this.
Well, gave it some colors and changed the background... I don't really like this idea. Right now it doesn't look very spectacular :/ Maby it could be nice if I started to really work with this and give it some ditail?
Otherwise I got another idea.. I will uppload that sketch later and see what you guys think :)
09 September 2005, 12:53 AM
hey! nice idea!! I like it! maybe a dark forest could be better..

OMG... just a few weeks left and I finally come up with an idea I like.
It's a Yeti sitting on a clif. Whats the spectacular? Well the Yeti and hopefully the colors. If I get it right.
Thus isn't the final composition.. just a sketch of the yeti.
Now I got to work! :)
11 November 2005, 11:52 PM
gee, I liked the prehistoric concept... perhaps, if you do a great job, your new concept could be great!
11 November 2005, 07:26 PM
Tried out some colors... Not pleased.
I will turn upp the clock a bit to allmost sunrise.
And I got another idea... The yeti will sit beside a snowman he just made.
He's sooo lonely :(
11 November 2005, 06:54 PM
Boring, I know..
But wait till you see some colors! :)
11 November 2005, 08:04 PM
Really cool! Will be fun to see the progress on this one!
