09 September 2005, 03:24 AM (

test render

09 September 2005, 03:27 AM
any ideas on how to make a crowd of thousands?:banghead: i have tryed a few cut outs .. not really the best results... im thinking perhaps majic in photo shop on post work ..

09 September 2005, 08:33 AM
Looks like a great idea, I had a similar thought of a large 'spectacular' tournament, with a crowd of thousands, I was thinking along the lines of an airborne contest, race of some sort or speed and skill based type of game with rocket packs airborne football etc. I felt that it was heading to close towards Harry Potter and Quidditch, so am now thinking of something else.
Your ground based joust looks like it could have potential, I look forward to seeing the concept developed further.

It depends on what software you are using? :bounce:

lightwave... and photoshop ...

09 September 2005, 06:30 PM
lovely idea mate, would even make a nice video game theme :D

you could fake a crowd by making several simple people shapes, different colours in clothing and then point cloning them. if you would then blur the background so that the car-action is the camera focus, prob would be solved the easiest way...

keep it up dude, running smoothly

09 September 2005, 07:28 PM
ill give that a try tonight since the background is gona be lil blurred any way.. that will prolly look pretty good with a few hundred camera flashes

09 September 2005, 12:29 AM (

working on modeling the dude to go in.. im going to go with a breast plate and some minor armor parts next

09 September 2005, 12:42 AM

09 September 2005, 05:49 AM
Lightwave... in that case I have no idea how to make a crows

I like that last update. It reminds me of MadMax. Is that leather or any other kind of fabric? You may want to add some wrinkles ;)

09 September 2005, 07:31 AM

Break the windshield!!!

09 September 2005, 11:02 PM (

i dont like the current style for the second guy so im working on a modern / old style armor for him

09 September 2005, 11:41 PM
My money's on the guy who doesn't have pink fur on his helmet. :D It looks good, but i'm not sure how it'll fit with the more silver colored armor. I will, however, reserve judgement until it's actually put together.

09 September 2005, 11:47 PM
this is the guys thats gettin slammed he is being re done why i have a helmet up there

09 September 2005, 02:15 AM
Crazy idea!

I like it, where do i stand in line for tickets....:buttrock:

09 September 2005, 06:51 PM
that is very impressive:thumbsup:

09 September 2005, 09:22 PM (

just finished modeling the uper part of the armor that was bugging me for the second guy.. his armor also color matches his car

09 September 2005, 10:26 PM
Hi Tyler,

Love the concept :D
Specially, the car "bling" factor, the colosseum and the work so far.
I have noticed something on your latest update.

I like the armor, but you could have another look at the player's porportions.
I think his hands are a little too small, his hips a little too fat and his butt and thighs also too wide. You could have a better look at your base anatomy.
Other then that looking very spectacular.

09 September 2005, 12:59 AM (

some touch ups after cretiques ;) ~thanks spin

10 October 2005, 03:48 AM (

working on how the image will look in the final shot .. the particals from the broken glass and wood chips from the impact will be the last few things i do

10 October 2005, 05:14 AM
Ouch. Looks like that guy will be sitting on the bench for a while. I'd like to see more shards from the lance shattering. Really give it that high velocity impact look.

10 October 2005, 05:29 AM
Woah, lots of updates!

My only critic would be that the legs look too short :)
Other than that, outstanding work!

10 October 2005, 06:19 AM
Car jousting! hahah, thats hilarious. Looking forward to seeing it develop.

10 October 2005, 01:34 AM
Gladiator! Gladiator! Rocking man.:bounce:

10 October 2005, 04:33 AM (

working on the impact and angle still workin every thing out dont even have the drivers for the car yet

10 October 2005, 12:23 AM
good work

10 October 2005, 05:58 AM
I don't understand that last post. Is the lance breaking on the impact or what?

10 October 2005, 04:15 PM
Hi Tyler. I love your concept and the image so far....... really cool. :bounce:

11 November 2005, 08:04 PM

Crap, dude. Sorry to hear that. You have some of the worst luck with computers, don't you? Good luck getting up and running again.

11 November 2005, 10:38 PM
Holy crap! That sucks. Does that mean work stuff is gone as well?
