09-05-2005, 07:55 PM
Good luck:thumbsup: . As fast as you were in the M&S challenge, 3 months seems like too much time for you:D .

09-05-2005, 08:21 PM
Hahaaah... Knew you wouldn't be able to resist mate... Prepare to be stalked;)

09-05-2005, 10:19 PM (

Gliding in the city during rush hour :D
Think yamakasi meets Burnout but with gliders.

09-05-2005, 10:32 PM
I like the sketch, a lot of energy and action in this scene.

09-05-2005, 10:40 PM
hehe, maybe make the guy gliding over the bus barely grazing the top. Hope it turns out very dynamic if you stick with this idea.

09-05-2005, 10:56 PM (

Doodling with some colors

09-05-2005, 10:58 PM
Continuumx: Glad u like it so far :)

Ace4016: This is still the concept. On-line play may vary :D I'll be doing some cam angle test and stunts / dangerous situations once it's 3d, I want to give it a show off race feeling :D Might not be that visible in the sketch hope 3d captures the idea better.

09-05-2005, 11:17 PM
I'll be waiting for the updates:thumbsup: .

09-05-2005, 11:40 PM

Good Luck!, I'll have a wing flying around this thread :wip:

09-06-2005, 12:36 AM
Hey look whos challenging!

So let me fast as you are this should take oh what, a week and a half? :D

Good luck mate!

09-06-2005, 05:24 AM
Hi Greg... and best wishes for your entry...

Good idea... Yesterday I have an idea a little like that... but with a kind of "an old futuristic space glider" in the Paris street... in the middle of circulation, and tracked by vehicles of police force, but I will hope to find another idea.
Then, I'm very curious to see your continuation

09-06-2005, 05:33 AM
Ladies and Gentelman....

Welcome in buddy, I wish u lots of fun and coffee cups!
Ps: Great start man, I suggest a more explosive scene

09-06-2005, 05:40 AM
Hi Greg! Good to see you in for another ride... good luck!

09-06-2005, 06:12 AM
cool idea good luck

09-06-2005, 06:49 AM
Nice Start smart Birdy! seing clearly sum great stunts, this is definately going to be fun to watch! haha, damn you already colored. i guess i better get my things startin as well :D

09-06-2005, 07:10 AM
Ace4016: And I'll be updating !!

mosconariz: Hi Mosco !!Nice to see you join in on this one too :) Time for a real challenge

Kid Mesh: Yeah I'll be off to a slower start this time (got to wait out most of the first month) but once I jump straight into the project it'll be turbo-boost time :D Good to see you back!

Lemog: I was sure someone else would think of a similar situation, although your idea seems interesting. Gotta love your whacky flying machines. They sorta remind me of the stuff they used in "catch the pigeon". Frail and whacky but somehow soaring through the air. Well I can't wait till you start pushing those polys around. I'm sure another masterpiece is just around the corner

Climax: Well I was actually thinking of adding in aliens chasing them in space ships :p But yeah an explosion along the way could make it seem more intense. Adding in the long-arm-of-the-law in a chopper could speed up the action :D ......oh yeah and another could be EXPLODING haha!

Gunilla: Nice to see you visiting my thread again Gunilla. Can't wait till you start work on your entry

the best: The idea will evolve :D So far it's just a foot hold. All guys n gals wil have customly tweaked gliders. Might add in a little boost device for the guys closest to the chopper

the1st_angel: Sneaking in while I have my cup of coffee & still replying. Well you concept looks pretty solid so far Sacha. VERY challenging.

Catch you all later. A new concept is brewing in my mind and it's goona have more action :D Guess I'll have to jot it down at work on my lunch break.

09-06-2005, 07:49 AM
Amazing action ! Good luck Gregory !

09-06-2005, 07:59 AM
Hi Greg I didn't even doubt that you are going to participate here :scream: good luck btw...

09-06-2005, 08:10 AM

09-06-2005, 08:50 AM
mmm i would so make one of them splash like a fly on the windshield...wipe

09-07-2005, 07:48 PM (

Started a stock model of the glider. Now time for some tuning

09-07-2005, 08:28 PM
Hi Greg, Flying straight into your concept mate... Good to see, I really dig the whole idea atm, I'd suggest some more tension on the gliders fabric, to create the impression of air pressure pushing up.. Great going so far mate... now... just another 999650 polys to go... Good luck my friend;) I'll hit the ground running soon and the chase will be on...

09-07-2005, 09:12 PM
lol funny concept man, keep em comin!

09-07-2005, 11:40 PM (

Added another glider to test the composition. Trying to get a dynamic camera angle

09-07-2005, 11:42 PM (

Still deciding on the camera. A second shot

09-07-2005, 11:52 PM
Looking good mate, I'd say for tension, keep the camera low... Maybe something freaky happening in the foreground... Go hard!:thumbsup:

09-07-2005, 11:57 PM
Sorry, just looking, you could probably add to the spectacularity of it all by lengthening the image in y to give the opportunity for some sky, and skyscrapers etc, especially if you keep the camera below the action... just a thought

09-08-2005, 12:33 AM
Your scene definetly has alot of action going on. Makes a pretty good overall scene. Good luck on composition, I can already feel the activity going on in it.

09-14-2005, 10:24 PM
Not off having a life again I hope...

Well yes and no. Had some overtime on animating a TV series so I'm a little burned out. I'm currently rethinking my idea for the challenge. The current one just doesn't seem to have the power to drive me. I'll sit down to some fresh concepts near the weekend and hopefully come up with something more exciting.

09-14-2005, 10:54 PM
Rest up mate... Plenty of time  Seriously tho your concept is soweet! to me, but I know the feeling... I got into double figures with ideas before on worth my committment came...

May the force be with you

09-17-2005, 02:37 PM
