Well this being my first challenge I am still working on the sketch and looking for a way to get it scaned in the computer. I am working with a few ideas but the one I like the most would be the Masquerade Ball. I am hoping to have a sketch finished tonight and scan it in at work. Just wanted to get the idea out there before I saw that some one else had started working on it before me.

Thanks everyone.

Well I don't really like the perspective, but I hope to define this better with the 3-D models.
It has been years since I have sketched anything and I am useing a scanner from work so it came out pretty light.

Just an additional sketch of some mask ideas.

One more additional sketch.
Was trying to play with some different scene ideas.

Somekind of masquerade? It's a brilliant idea I think. All the masks, colorfull costumes...

Keep on goin'.

Well this will be the first body model that I have created. This will be a very big learning experience for me.
If anyone knows of a good body tutorial, Pleaese let me know. Thanks for all the help in advance.
- The head is based on a tutorial that I found online when I first started to get into the CG site of modeling. I am sorry to say I do not know where I got it.
I will use the head to create most of my masks. I will probably work back and forth on the masks and finish the bodies.

Good luck to everyone entered. This site is Rocks!!!

Hey all, Well I did not like what I did yesterday. I did not like how the topology was looking. It was easier to find a different tut and start over.
I found a good tutorial at
Well here is my progress for tonight.
I am not the fastest modeler yet, 6 hours to figure out I didn't like the last head and start a new one.
But for the first person I have ever created I feel pretty good.

Let me know what you think!, but be gental. I am a noob and only have access to free software.

This site still Rocks!!!!
Many amazing artist.

I have only had a few hours over the last few days to work on this. I know it is not much of a change, Sorry.
I just need to get a good 8 hours to make some progress.
So very frustrating not having the time to work on this like I would like to.
Maybe tommarow?

Well I am working on the masks along with all the rest of the concept. I hope that I can pull it all together in the end. If not, at least I am learning a lot and enjoying it.
Everyone elses work is looking very good. I hope it will not be to apperent that I really have know idea what I am doing. I added some color for appeal, but these will not be my final texturing. Everyone have a good weekend. Keep up the good work.

hi SpaceDrake!

cheers man!

Nice idea... I think you should pay more attention to planning the entire shot. The human models are a bit too symmetrical... But all-in-all - Really nice.

Hey SpaceDrake great modeling and funny idea or great idea and funny modeling :) or... Good Job.

AmazingC - Thanks

2xbo - So far the party has been fun and stressfull not having enough time in a day to party.

mookid2005 - Thanks, I am useing Wings3D for the modeling.

dinodog - Thanks, the 2D challenge would be so difficult for me with no practice but the tablet would be so cool. May be after I finish this one. LOL

yunisirees - Thank you, I wish I would have started doing this years ago. I have enjoied working on what little I have done so far, but I have so much more to learn. This is just the modeling. I still need to try the texturing and lighting and ... hell I don't even know if my computer will handle the processing. Your work is so cool. Also, I have a story to go with the modeling and will try to get it posted soon.

liveman - Thanks for the input. I am finally able to get back on my computer so I think I will try to do set up some of the shot this weekend for you. Yes I hope that if I get more time and further in the project to add some irregularities the the models. For now I still have know idea what time frame I should be working to and what I might be falling short on.

claudio_jordao - Thanks.

Thank you all,
Sorry for not being around this week, been crazy here with work and had to fix my wife's car.

Will post more tonight and this weekend. Every one keep up the good work!
